Generally the LEFT are supposed to be idealouges and are believed to be principled. But the way the speaker's name was included without consulting him only shows they are no different from others when it comes to politicking. His high office should not have been dragged into such needless controversies. It is simply deplorable the way Karat & co are showing heir desperation.
First shocking betrayal for Left party MP Somnath Chatterjee has refused to quit. First intelligent communist who gives first preference to Country progress over communist ideology. Somnath creates panic in Bengal rebuffing CPM boss Prakash Karat, who wants him to resign as Speaker of Lok Sabha before July 22 so that Chatterjee can vote against the government in the floor test.

This shows how CPM is sharply divided. Prakash wants the speaker election too an first acid test to Congress and it seems congress is successful in dealing with it. And too, Left is not having any idealogy issues and Position matters much with the leading comrades too. Jyothi Basu is settling his scores with CPM as they didn't agree him to be PM.
Today many decision regarding govt.is in hand of SP i.e. Amarsingh (Mulayam not in picture). The same Congress opposed a lot to SP in UP for criminal candidates and corruption,Law & order situation. The same SP holding all rights to take decision. Now where r rahul & Sonia? What r the doing? If all 60 mps of com.prty take this from congress it will be 1500 crores. let the bengal enjoy with it and still you have right to withdraw support at tne fag end. In this 1500 crores, we can infuse more population from bangala desh in india who will support red army.

Hon Speaker has lowered the dignity of the office he holds by bringing BJP into picture. As a politician it is ok to call BJP communal, but as a Speaker such partisan stance while still holding chair is sad.
