AS PER THE US ESTIMATES PUBLISHED IN THEIR VARIOUS PRESTIGIOUS PUBLICATIONS AND AS PER THE VIEWS OF THEIR SCIENTISTS INDIA WILL BE ABLE TO GENERATE ONLY 5% OF ITS ENERGY NEEDS FROM THE NUCLEAR PLANTS IN THE NEXT 30 YEARS AND THE COST OF THAT ENERGY WILL BE ALMOST DOUBLE THE COST OF THERMAL OR GAS BASED ENERGY. IN FACT THE OLD TECHNOLOGY REACTOR SALES HAVE THEM MORE INTERESTED IN THIS DEAL RATHER THAN INDIA'S INTERESTS. INDIA ON THE OTHER HAND WILL HAVE TO PAY HEAVY PRICE FOR EVEN THE IAEA INSPECTIONS IN EUROS.BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY INDIA'S SECURITY IS AT RISK. HALF OF OUR COUNTRY'S ENERGY WOES WOULD END IF T&D LOSSES ARE BROUGHT TO 5 10% IN PLACE OF THE PRESENT 30-40%. BUT THAT WON'T GIVE ANY COMMISSIONS TO PARTIES IN POWER....

if you know the cost of the nuclear energy generated at Kalpak in Tamilnadu, You dont say this. Just verify the facts and then comment on it. Before we produce energy from Kalpak, Tamilnadu, all these foreign countries told its impossible to generate from the nuclear material, India had at that time. Dont rely too much on these expert comments.
The details are already known factors to the people of this country. It is the dirtiest way the entire episode has been presented to this country's men and women by our PM makes one feel clumsy of the UPA led Government. This is a naked effort to hide all other relavent and biting problems of the aam admi.

Just because Congress Govt is in minority and Left did not want India to do anything with US and threatened to withdraw the support, the whole news became hot for the media. Hence you and me talk about it. Otherwise, if Congress or for that matter BJP or any party had the majority the whole deal would have been a non issue ! Just one day the PM would have announced in the floor of the House that the Deal is struck. The entire opposition would have walked out on that day. Next day would have been business as usual. That is all !
Today, in fact the Communists have become the scape goat of the Media. They realy did not mean when Mr.Karat said that they will pull out if the Govt went ahead with the Deal. But the Media kept on reminding the same and BJP was provoking the Left. Hnece, the Left, especially Mr.Karat had no choice but to take the precipitative step !
This is all about the hall bulla ! Nothing else. The whole Nuclear Deal is a small matter, but it is good for India. Even if it is not done today, it will be done tomorrow ! Finding fault with the Govt saying that they are not worried about inflation and other issues is not right. Only we are talking about it along with the Opposition and engaging the Govt attention on Nuclear Deal all the time. We are not allowing them to do their other businesss !
1.India's energy deficiency is because of T&D losses. If Govt can minimize them the power situation will be much better. 2. India maximum energy is in transportation sector. does nuclear energy provide the answer. 3.Will Us ignore the HYDE act in case India conducts a test. 4.What is the level of technology the country can absorb. 5.I would put it to you this deal is to show another dream to the Indian populace. 6.When will the power enter Indian Homes . After how much of investment . 7.Are you happy at the fact that the deal has shown a debased face of Indian politics . 9.In case the American congress rejects the deal ,what will be the stand of UPA.

Ans for few: 1. T & D losses though it's more than 20% in India. The actual loss is due to theft Plenty of stuff needs to be done to minimize that. It's polical party (during rally etc) steels the most power.
2. Yes to certain extent by converting all the diesel Rail locos to Electric we can save 6000 crores and there are few more options too. With Nuke deal if Electricity gets cheaper, ppl will be more open to buy electric vehicles. All Diesel power plants can be completely shut down, etc
4. Any reason why you think we are not capable of?
6. Not in three years time period?
7. We are quite aware that our politicians are rubbish. Hence it really doesn't bother us much.
9. There is a very remote chance for some thing like that to happen. Commies will be happy at least.
10. Sorry, read my reply here if you get a chance!

Meaningful discussion.
People may follow the example set by these people instead of using abusive languages against each other or writting rubbish things about politicians and political parties.
Keep it up !
Anyone has got any specific queries on the Nuclear Deal, on the Technicalities of Energy, Transport, etc may ask.
All humbak. Looks like this article is an advt for N Deal. The terms and conditions that is appearing in the preamble of the agreement doest not form part of the draft agreement. This is rediculus. According to legal experts, once this agreement is signed, it is impossible to withdra under any circumtnaces and we are forced to buy n fuel only from thes elite countrie at their price. Why go to international agreements?. Look at Indias Income Tax and other laws. What they preach inside the Parliament at the budject speeach is not conclusive when it comes to implementation. These so called Babus have their own view when it comes to implementation. That is the reasons lakhs together appeals pending in Income Tax, Excise departments. Polution Board is a Board has alaw upto themselves. They make cough up money from industrialists on filmsy grounds, still Ganga river is the most polluted river in the world!. Look at the toilets of Govt Departments, most filthy ones. But the health departments attack industrialist if their toilet is slightly un higenic. ESI hospitals are another examples. All these reflects what the govt talks and does.

CPI sposored laughtor challenge is passed by sensor,,,,,,,but host might not going to pass test........as they are doubt for his or her gender
The new precision and effective weapons are so effective that nuclear weapons will not at all be required even in the event when we want to eliminate a populated area, there are other effective emerging technologies.. !!! Poor ill informed politicians still fighting on old technologies..
Our need is for constant source of energy. If this deal is going to achieve our need then only we should go ahead. None of the parties are talking about total need of energy and how it will be tackled in the future.
Can some one teach our leaders to sense the need of common people, industry, etc in terms of energy. Tell them this is giong to fetch them votes in future constantly.

As per reports we shall get only about 6% of our energy needs from nuclear power and this energy will b much costlier.
The world is really complicated. Though, there is much said about the N bomb etc. most war is fought with conventional wepons. America got its 9/11 with the help of Pakistan born terrorists, still they have given more than enough dollors to buy wepons. It is a fact, that we will have peeking eyes, into our N facilities after we enter this N agreement, but beggers cannot be choosers. so i feel this is the best possible deal. Tomorrow what happens to our relationship vis-a-vis US would not be due to the N issue, but other market related issues. This is a complicated world,(the communist china, is the largest trade partner of US and is more Market oriented than India) what will happen tomorrow cannot be predicted fully. It is therefore best to get what is best today and hope for the best for tomorrow.
