Raj Thackeray - a mere symptom, not the disease.
by RABI KANUNGO on Jul 15, 2008 10:56 AM  Permalink

During the last sixty years, after Independence, Indian have grown the habit of distrust against anything that is 'Government'. The bulk urbanised middle-class (not a 'class' of any definite economic parameter, but by many confused segments of dream) prefer to avail of private nursing home instead of government health centre, and private English medium schooling to government schools. If this Thackeray does not understand it, that is his ignorance. When ignorance mixed with power, it may create dangerous potents.

I don't know who is fool but i know one thing for sure that forcing something on others against their will is never good....In india we have more than 20 languages.....how many a person can learn.....???? I think one indian language should be enough....along with english as it has been made a official language in our couinrty unfortunately

yes..thats true....what a pity that our own people don't like one of our own country's language....and at the same time they take pride in learning foriegn lenguage....not their fault though....system needs to be blamed for that....it never propagated the ethics of respecting your own countrymen and their cutlture....instead most of ths indians are still ahppy of licking whitemens boots.... Hope this will change.

Raj Thakere is double standard man
He sent their Children in English Convent Schools and want The Marathi people (Janata of Maharastra)to send there children in Marathi Schools .Which Have Lack of Infrastructre, Shortage of Skilled Teachers,so that they(these Children) should not get good Job and easily become Sainiks of there organisation
Keeping the SignBoard in Marathi Does not Help the Marathi If he Sends His children in Convent Schools
Raj u are not alone
Mulayam also did in same way
He also send his son to Australia to learm and he also want that all people should Get educated in Hindi but not there Son..

Patna was once the capital of the greatest empire that ruled India. Megasthenes has been quoted saying that it was the greatest city in the world at that point of time. History will repeat itself. Bihar and patna will regain its lost glory.

Raj Thackeray's grand children will have to go and stand in a line for a job in Bihar.

you are right. Hope it rgains it's glory....India will be changed for good if that happens....but for that to happen people and politicians of bihar and UP need to realize this and their potential....they are hard working people for sure but it is also true that majority of the labor class from these states have got very low level of mentality.....this needs to be changed. They should start taking pride in calling themselves Bihari instead of feeling ashamed about it. I have seen when you call a person from Bihar a Bihari...he too gets agitated.....:)

its not about being tired of past glory....the discussion here is to regain the past glory....which is a fact.....what's the problem with that? unless they start thinking about it....how will it change? for anything to happen...it needs a thought first..isn't it?

It was not just greatest city iof the world at that time but also the the capital of first democracy of the world.
India was first ever made as a country under no other than mauryans..and before christ and even after christ upto 300 BC it was Patliputra who ruled the world and was capital of India.
It was might of Mauryan & Magadh empires that no western invader ever imagined to attack India, Alexander had to face defeat even and return and die with ehavy wounds.
During regime of Ashoka and Samudragupta ..India was from Iran in west to Malaysia in east, China( whom today india cant even imagine to defeat) to Srilanka in south ...all accepting themselves under the great empire of Magadh..whose capital was Patna.
Worms like Raj Thackrays survive fior a while only..as they die in their own dirt!
Recently University of Pune had released the family history of Raj Thackray..and foudn that this entire Thackrays clan is non marathi and just 2 generations back it had shifted to Mumbai from madhya Pradesh. The grandpa of Raj Thackray was not a marathi but a migrant fro madhya Pradesh who had come to mumbai in poverty and search of job!
The same migrant family is today trying to do mischives on any possible line of divison!
