mumbai belongs to konkani community. first of all try to speak in konkani and not marathi. all thackeray brothers have come from madhya pradesh in search of jobs . every body take notice of it

Btw Mumbai consisted of seven Islands given as dowry to a Britisher by the French. Only the "kolis" are the original inhabitants of Mumbai.

Mr.JAI, Marathi is a sweet language with lots of literature from the time of Bhakti movement of Sant Tukaram and Gnaneshwar itself and will survive till eternity. It is just foolishness to think that Mr. Raj Thackeray is the protector of the same.

That was not due to the magnanimity of the moughals. They were also like the politicians of our time. How they could have ruled by antagonizing about 92% of the population (the muslims were about 8% only at that time). Btw the Moughals ruled some parts of India for about 400 years only.

it seems you are not aware of the history properly....Yes they tried their best to derstroy hindu culture.....converted forcefully....levied huge taxes on hindus....etc etc....but they could not destroy it completely as the roots of hindu culture are very old and strong...

To my knowledge, Marathi is taught from Std. III in English medium Schools in Maharashtra as per the ciriculam of State Govt.
Forcing a small child of 5 years to learn two or three languages is just curelty. What good is that going to for the local language or the child for that matter?
And of course these politicians and so-called guardians of culture are hypocrites. They send their children to the best English medium Schools and wants the children of the poor to rot in Municipal schools.

Rightly said, Their siblings education is over, why will they care for others.They stomach is full why should they care for others.These hypocrites don't understand they are Indians first and regional next. Infact Our soldiers need not search for terrorists in Kashmir, but certainly will find in Maharastra.
shiv senas and thakereys are the indian version of mulla omar and taliban. first against south indians,then north indian then against english medium school... everybody has the freedom to keep the name board of his organization or shop in any language. how he can dictate terms according to his fancy..india is going back to old jungle policy of might is right. are these thakerays the agent of pakistan to destabilise the Our Great country whih is based on UNITY IN DIVERSITY.
I find this crapster does'nt have any brain.No Agendas to create will not allow him to sleep,or his food will not get digested.This fellow would have allowed his siblings to study in english medium schools.I want the best Doctors to do MRI Scanning on his brain to study what agendas lie in future so that controversies, religious hatred,hatred towards North Indians and many issues can be sorted so that Indians and India can live in peace.
