Nuclear deal and bribing MPs to vote for the deal
by Bharat Kr on Jul 14, 2008 08:05 PM  Permalink

Vote for Congress, at US$ 2.5 billion per MP. Its time to earn big money, wish we all were MPs now. Congress offering at maximum US$ 2.5 billion for a vote. It can go beyond. PVN Rao bribed and purchased Jharkhand MPs, when he was PM. Purchasing and bribing MPs, MLAs are not new to Congress, it is as old age Congress rule since Nehru. Now media will not go for sting operations, as medias too are big beneficiaries. This time, money flowing from two sides, Congress party and US. This deal is big business for US and west, as they will effectively manage to contain India and strip its nuclear weapon status.

If there is still a third world, its within India!!!

If there is still a third world, as described by the westerners when they had to refer to the eastern countries, there is still one place which can be termed so and inspite of India zooming ahead on its development path, there is still one place within our country which desperately needs upliftment and thats BIHAR for you!!
1. You cant afford to travel in your seat comfortably though you have a confirmed ticket, be it whatever class.. you will find Biharis( Bikaris, to be politically correct!!) bullying you..
2. The state which is run by the most corrupt of all the politicians in the world.. (God knows how) boasts of the contributing some some of the highest numbers of Civil service officers. Its left to one and all to imagine how the administration that they are assigned to handle will be, considering the school of thought that they come from.
3. Highest number of kidnappings and crimes recorded in any indian state.. (Thanks to the high number, that it even inspired Bollywood to produce a movie called "Apaharan"!! which went on to become a runaway hit)
4. The place where only one family is destined to rule come what may. Its either Lalu or Mrs. Lalu!!! Its a proven fact that Lalu though he celebrated his 61st B'day just a few days back doesnt even know the name of his last child( Only God knows what that child's number in Lalu's family tree!!)

And now Lalu aspires to become the PM of the country one day!! God Save India.. Being CM of Bihar, 300 Crore fodder scam.. F

And now Lalu aspires to become the PM of the country one day!! God Save India.. Being CM of Bihar, 300 Crore fodder scam.. Fortunately, there hasnt been any major scam in his tenure as Union Railway Minister( there might have been many, but just swept away under the carpet!!)

And now another Bikari named Shatrughan Sinha comes up with his rhetorics.. I am Pro-BJP but still dont understand why Advaniji and Vajpayeeji have taken this nincompoop into their party's rolls.

God Save India from these miserable morons!!!

You talk about Bihar as a Third World Place.
Let me give you some insight about this:
1. Even in Screwd up south India if you have a Confirmed Ticket you will find people bullying you.
2.Dont talk about corruption: Tamilnadu has the most corrupt Politicians. Every one there is much more corrupt than Lalu.
3. For your kind information highest number of crime is always recorded in Up or delhi.
4. Dont tell People from just one Family rule Bihar. What about congress who is rulling us for the last 50 years
5. And dude dont talk about people from bihar being passing Civil Services. We have a greatly lured by civil services exams. and we prepare for them really hard. If you see any bihari preparing for civil services all Venkats From your state will pee in their pants.

Last thing Dont talk about Movies based on Bihar. Your Movies suck. Your actors suck. Mooch wala mote mote hero ko dekh kar bahut khus hote ho sale tum log.
And i know you wont tell this crap to any bihari if you are in front of him because you have seen apharan

There is a big mistake in saying that Lalu or Mrs Lalu is ruling Bihar. For last few yrs Nitish Kumar is ruling there.

Secondly u r wrong in saying that the state is run by most corrupt politicians in the world. I cannot say about the world, but in India also corrupt politicians r spread all over, such as Karunanidhi, Devegouda, Jaylalitha, Bal Thakre, Mulayam, Sharad Pawar, Shariff (former railway minister), Antule, Choutala, Ajit Singh, Sibu Soren etc. Moreover there r others, who r corrupt, but r clever enough to hide it.

Yup.. I forgot to add that mate.. and realized the Nitish Kumar piece only after I had posted and as you know, there is no option to edit your own posting here on rediff forum. But ya, he hasnt been any different, if you look at the average growth that Bihar has achieved compared to many other Indian states.

Secondly, Regarding your observations on corrupt politicians.. the synonym of politician is corruption. so you cant separate the word from its meaning as an old adage goes.. But whats debatable is the quality of those corrupt politicians.. How educated is Lalu or for that matter Memsaab Lalu who became the chief minister in a wink of Lalu's eye..? On teh other hand, if you look at people like Jayalalitha, Karunanidhi.. I accept that they wouldnt have made it this big with just their incomes from the Cine Industry where they came from.. but still these people are educated lot and can(only if they ever get tired of accumulating wealth) and yes.. THEY CAN be good leaders. But can you say so with Lalu or Mrs. Lalu. ?? Tell me my friend... Devegowda.. he is a different story altogether, the only PM of a country who can sleep all the way to glory even in public meetings with the most comprehensive media coverage!!! Now thats what I call audacity!! Bal Thackerayji has never been in power but yes he runs the government in Maharashtra..!! As for the others.. they are so small that they have gone unnoticed in my eyes!!!

Congress is misleadingthe nation for its own benefit
by Ram Sharma on Jul 14, 2008 05:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congress is hurrying up for nuclear deal to divert peoples' attention from real problems of the country, which it seems to hv achieved for the time being. Congress should reply to the flg questions:

1. The day before the IAEA document was in public domain, why did it say that the document cannot b shown to anyone outside the govt, as it was a secret document and its showing to others will result in threats to our nuclear reactor?

2. Why did it not take the Left, on whose support it is running the govt, and main opposition party BJP in confidence?

3. If the deal was so good as it is trying to show, then why did they delayed it so much that the present US govt may not hv enough time to get it passed?

4. The deal is so lucrative for the US business that no US President will dare to oppose it, then why is it trying to show that if there is delay, the deal will not b passed by the next President of US?

Ram Ram Neelima.

What did I say which made u say that I know everything? Did Dr Kalam say that the document should b shown to non govt people, did he say that the govt should not take its associates and opposition party in confidence, did he ask the govt to delay the deal or did he say that next President of US will not sign the deal? So why r u bringing his name in reply to my message?

Whatever I hv written is based on common sence and as a common man.

Congress Party is hurrying up just to divert peoples' attention from inflation etc. It is trying to show as if the deal will start giving power as soon as we sign the deal and it is the solution to all the problems.

Reply to points raised by me pointwise instead of writing negatively baseless things. If u don't hv any reply, it is better not to write.

neelima: Do you think, just Kalam said, so all are alright, and we have to support this unfair/unequal deal? Why not try to judge by yourself? Why not read the Hyde Act? I hope, you can read and write.

So far Mr. Sinha has been a villain on the N-deal. Once he recognizes the merit of the deal and that non-proliferation agenda is more focused on horizontal proliferation, driven by terror considerations, that India's legal infrastructure is recognized as concomitant to constraining disproportionate vertical proliferation; it would make a hero out of him.

opposition
by john jacob on Jul 14, 2008 05:18 PM  Permalink

The job of opposition is to oppose anything or everything even if it is in the best intrest of the country. Mr sinha is just doing that. Had congress gone ahead with Iran-India-Pakistan deal, opposition would have opposed it. So if every deal is opposed how does india solve the energy crisis. In my opinion any energy deal which is deal directly with foreign governments will be much fairer than a deal with private companies.

Shartu on Necular Deal
by kevin F on Jul 14, 2008 05:06 PM  Permalink

If I had a high profile position in India , Like Dr Kalam, Dr M Singh or the top Necular brains India and said the deal was good for India then It must be good, they just wont make a statement and get the deal thru and hide in the country or run to America. If the deal wasnt good , how would they explain them selves to the citizens later.Mr Sinha even you are into politics for something, some people want more some want less, nobody and no party is working for the country, all are crooks with some hidden motives
