LEFTs are doing a favour to India.
by Dipak Bose on Jul 14, 2008 12:26 PM  Permalink

After two years of debate it should be clear to you that this 123 Deal is not about electricity but about nuclear weapons programme of India, which USA wants to eliminate by luring India to sign a version of NPT; that is exactly what India did when it has signed the IAEA treaty, which is not any different of the treaty what Iran or Thailand had signed.

Nuclear Deal Must for India
by elavazhagan selvaraj on Jul 14, 2008 05:55 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The Nuclear Deal is must for India. This is the reason still BJP is having soft corner with this instead of making much noise as Left.

I am definite present govt. or any govt. will come next will follow this path.

regards,

ela

Why is it a must. Because some Indian politicians already took the bribe, so they have to deliver, otherwise CIa will kill them, as it did to Zia Ul Haque!!!

A REAL 'TOOFANI' SITUATION IN A PARLIAMENTARY DEMOCRACY!
AND WITH NO EXPERT 'MALLAH' TO CONTROL!
EXCEPT THE 'ALLAH"
CONGRESS SHOULD NOT FEEL SHY TO APPROACH THEIR MUSLIM WELL WISHERS WHOM THEY APPEASED SO LONG FOR MNAKING PRAYERS TO 'ALLAH"!
HINDU GODS AND GODDESSES CAN SAVE EASILY BUT WON'T BECAUSE CONGRESS OVERLOOKED HINDU CAUSES SO FAR!
ONLY SHAMELESS PEOPLE CAN APPROACH HINDU GODS IN DANGER OF SINKING FOR EVER!

Interesting battle but inconsequencial

Interesting battle but inconsequencial. Yes, if you analyse the unfolding situation, it has no impact on inflation, foreign policy or internal security.
Even thepolitical alliances are made with a clear declaration that it is for very short period. may be for weeks only.

Cost of N Deal
by TheOneAndOnly on Jul 13, 2008 08:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Thru this N Deal The Amount of Indian Money that would be Put to Stake is Rs.11,25,000 Crores or US$ 260 Bn.

And Even of We withdraw from the Agreement Later, The Built Nuclear Facilities would be under IAEA Safeguards in PERPETUITY. Which Only means West dominated IAEA will intrude into India and be there FOREVER.
The Way out of It is to demolish those Facilities. Means Rs. 11,25,000 Crores of Loss.

Understand Our Forex Reserves are US$ 312 Bn.

Understand The Cost of a Product bought in the Market would Include its R & D Costs And Profits.

Do We Need to Spend So much Now ?

Is it Not better to Spend that Money in Better Water Management ?

Do You Know Only 20% of Rainwater is Harvested in the Dams & Reservoirs and Rest is being Leftout into the Sea ?????

A Reasonable Lake per Village thru out the Country Costs just Rs. 35000 Crores. Which also means JOBs only for Indians And Only INRs and No Forex.

dont think abt wat we CUD do or CAN do..

think on wats happenin n act on it..

with rains becomin more n more unreliable..even the hydro power projects are becomin a failure against energy crunch...

n i belive even settin up n management of nuclear facilities will create INDIAN employment...
we are more interested in buyin uranium rather than reactors which we already build...
n wats the problem if the CICIVILIAN facilities are under scrutiny ??

grow up n think more liberally

it is sad that the common man-read literate man- is not informed about this n-deal as to what is there in it for our country.if the law makers claim to know the inner details and if they are sure it will benefit our country's progress,i advise them to cast their vote for the betterment of the country rather than falling in line for their respective party's diktat-atleast once in their life time.prove they love their country more than party politics used for toppling goverments.

If Prakash Karat is allergic to fuel supply from Americans why can't he persuade his masters in Russia And China to supply fuel for our reactors to produce power for peaceful purpose. The reds objection to the deal is only for the sake of protesting

No...though Left are always biased to Communist Goals but this time they have some valid points to object.

Why dont the Congress showed them the draft when they both were one?

China has supplied fuel already for the defunct Tarapur plant, when the Americans refused. Russia has supplied fuel only 3 months ago.
Since 1968 everything nuclear came to India from the Soviet Union, Russia and a little from France, not from USA.

Country interest is of prime importance. Kennedy.
by kennedy pereira on Jul 13, 2008 07:06 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am neither a fan of the congress,BJP or the Left parties. However as we look forward in making our nation a self reliant nation I think India should sign the nuclear deal. As a country we need energy to develop and if we cannot generate the necessary amount required to progress then we are moving back at least 10 yrs. Today if industry needs to perform at its optimal level it needS energy. There are states that are involved in load shedding which means the common man suffers. Why should such a situation arise even after 60 yrs of independence?
For the sake of the countries progess all parties should let the government sign the nuclear deal and for Gods sake let this country of ours progress.

US & western world has hidden agenda. They are planning to slave us in the name of nuclear energy. Let it be 10 years behind the world but self suffient & self reliant nuclear fuel will take us 20 years forward from them. It's better to bargain on our own terms rather than always follow whatever they command for the sake of n.fuel.

India had the capabilties in 1958 but still India never tested a nuclear devise until 1974 - after that all nuclear cooperation were banned.

China tested in 1962 and went on to become a member of security Council.

My point is - why are all the Western powers interested in getting the present deal to happen.

Can we again test nuclear devices?

if yes...would they again ban any further nuclear cooperation?

How can the world stop Porkistan and China to get into a better deal than this?

Would this deal guarantee India place in the security council?
