We should not conduct any elections to the Parliament and State Assemblies. The onurous task should be left to the religious leaders (hindus, christians, muslims, sikhs, etc). They should be asked to nominate members to the Parliament or the State Assemblies according to the population as per last Census. This will also save a lot of money and efforts every five years. At least then we will not get complaints like this from the religious leaders (some say the deal is against muslims, some others say that the deal is against sikhs, etc!!!!!)

Just because of some extremist you should not blame sikh community. If you read my comments above they are hindu community best friends and stood up by them. I am not sikh who is defending them but I have been lived with their community and its like family. Sikhs are not idiots, they are one of successfull business community in india and abroad. Just go to UK, you will find punjabi city. I dont need to say any thing about Canada. Punjabi is 2nd or 3rd national language. All this because of Sikhs hard work in country and out of country.

SAD chief comments are contradictory. At one side he is saying he doesnt mind india gets de nuclearise and when india is taking a step in this direction by providing some of its reactors to IAEA then they are not supporting govt. just because MMS didnt consult sikhs. Thats called communal party. Does PM of India needs to consult communities to take decision in national interest ? If SAD chief wud have said that he didnt consult his party then it was acceptable that MMS has to consult each party. But how cong or MMS can consult any part of NDA when they are opposing the deal in open. MMS knew just being from same community will not make diff in SAD stand so he never tried to play communal card with them. However its cong now who wants to make sure their no are complete tried to play community card with SAD which is not correct. If they wanted to be SAD on their side, they shud hv gone before as a political party and take their support. a bit bad politics from cong but not from MMS

I have not much knowledge about punjab political parties apart from Cong or BJP. So i thought its main akali dal party.
What is he trying to say?Where does communal angle come to whole nuclear saga?The idiots like this are embarassing India. If he wants to know @ Nuclear deal go read news papers/ raise questions in parliment...India doesn't need approval of any particular religion for the deal. I wonder now RSS will also demand the same thing.

I agree with you for that racist comments. These bloggers may not have know sikh community very much so they are writting like that.
Friends, I am myself a sikh. Let me tell you that this Nuclear Deal is good for OUR country INDIA. It would help to meet the ever increasing demand of power from the important sectors of our growing economy like Agriculture and Industry. And as far as this Simranjit Singh Mann is concerned, DON'T give much importance to his comments. Hardly anybody votes for him. He will say anything to grab attention. Don't give that attention to him.

Jokes are humorous side of their community which has not come from sikh relegion. It came from punjabi community specially punjabi jaats who lives in village for long and not able to make common sense some time what u read in jokes. That were transferred to sikhs as they are rooted from such villages. Now even when sikh is one of most educated community that jokes still prevails on humorous side and 99 % sikhs take it in humour. As they are well educated and know its a friendly matter. They are one of the liberal community and very friendly. Ignoring the golden temple and 1981 riots issues, Hindus have always stood up to Sikhs. Even 1981 riots were started by handful of hindus and entire hindu community should not be blamed for this. Every incident has a trigger. India as a nation or hindu as a community has stood up by the sikhs whenever there is any racial descrimation or racial abuse to sikhs out of india due to their religion or nationalism. I would say Sikhs are hindus are not 2 different community. They are one.
JUST GET ONE THING CLEAR SIMARNJIT SINGH MANN'S PARTY IS NOT THE REAL AKALI DAL, THE REAL AKALI DAL IS LED BY PRAKASH SINGH BADAL WHICH IS WITH THE BJP AND IS A NATIONALIST PARTY. I WILL REQUEST MY HINDU BROTHERS TO HAVE SOME SHAME BEFORE MAKING RACIST COMMENTS AGAINST INNOCENT & PATRIOTIC SIKHS. BHAIYON KUCH TO SHARAM KARO.
