Police should be Sued
by Javed Siddiqui on Jul 12, 2008 11:26 PM  Permalink

This is a symbol of how insecure it is getting out there.

Police shoud be sued including the higher office of UP Police. There should be a CBI investigation and ppl who created the story of initially Dr Talwar having an afair and later on that Arushi was a bad charactered girl .... should be punished and dismissed from the IPS.

The case should be taken seriously. Ppl who can reach a conclusion without proper investigation have no right to be occupying higher chairs in public service.

Lessons to be learnt
by Justin Harry on Jul 12, 2008 11:23 PM  Permalink

There can be many lessons learned from this unfortunate case.
Some of them I feel
1) The media should respect people privacy.
2) In the name of business and TRP, the media should n't malaign any individuals.
3) Strict law on media needs to be enforced.
4) I strongly believe there is no need of parallel trial by media as they are interested only in commercials.
5) There should be a special cell in police department for handling media.
6) The police should be trained to handle media and its pressure.
7) The police should handle criminal case professinaly.
8) The police should not allow any person including media at the site of crime as they can tamper the evidence.
9) Most important in case we decide to keep domestic servant we need to take out proper verification.

Arushi murder
by shuja shakir on Jul 12, 2008 11:20 PM  Permalink

Police are clearly hand-in-gloves with Talwars. It looks highly illogical that Talwars couldn't know what was going on just beside them, espcially as sensational an act as murder. Names of Krishna, Rajkumar and others are just a cover-up of more nefarious designs.

circumstances leads to suspicion
by vidhya h on Jul 12, 2008 10:58 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

why should the CBI or the police apologise to the Talwars, they are out on bail for lack of evidence not bcoz they are proven not guilty. Also the Talwars actions raises suspicions, even a lame person would be unable to beleive that the parents couldnt hear a thing when 5 people were involved in a crime scene just 4 feet away.

The CBI just a few days ago had said that it would be impossible for the parents to not hear anything as they recreated the scene with the AC on, now all of a sudden arushi had bad throat...

why did they do the last rites so hastily, any educated person would know that they should wait for the police to conclude autopsy esp when its a murder.

why wasnt Arushi's room locked on that particular day when the Talwars mentioned that they locked the rooms every single day.

If krishna wanted revenge, wouldnt he kill the talwars who were sleeping in the other room than Arushi.

if Krishna wanted revenge, why would Rajkumar participate in the murder and why would they then not flee the country and on top of that keep the bloodstanined tshirt and this comes after all the other evidences has been wiped off and pics being deleted. Such perfect murderers kept the mobile of hemraj switched on, kept the t-shirt, did not flee....

Anyone can see that all these circumstances raises suspicions on the Talwars and thier statement that they were sleeping and didnt hear a thing......

so the police and the CBI did the right thing and remanded Rajesh Talwar.w

yeah, i also dont think talwars are innocent.i think talwars know who is the mrderer? servants can not do so called perfect murderes. here murderer looks some outsider and misused the servants. may be third person would have tried to talwars involve in their illegal business and talwars had denied and result is here or may be talwars involed in illegal trade in some extend and later they pulled of hands and third person would have done it. I say talwars would not have mudered both victims. may be servants would have done but someone from outside would have driven them. it looks like main villan is upsent here.

Retrospection for ALL
by rathore ronnie on Jul 12, 2008 10:47 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

1). Who is Ms Renuka Choudhary to speak for Talwars? They know their rights well. Minister's utterance is politically loaded. If BSP was supporting Congress on nuke-deal, such statement from the minister would not have come.
2). Media too needs to see its conduct in the entire episode. Especially the TV crossed all limits of decency. It violated Talwars privacy. It was insensitive to the reputation of a girl who is no more. It feasted on human tragedy and only cared for its TRP.
3). The Police has once again proved that it is an organisation which is not in tune with norms of civilised world. The IG Meerut Zone press conference was nothing but a crass attempt to sensationalise the tragedy. Why must police succumb to media pressure? Every police officer wants to be media savvy without having anything worthwhile to tell.
4). CBI's clean chit to Dr Talwar does not mean that he has come out clean from the entire controversy. There are still many unanswered questions.
Arushi-Hemraj murder has thrown up many issues and the foremost amongst them is - how much liberty the media should take in a civilised society?

IT IS CASE OF EXTORTION BY POLICE
by SK2007 on Jul 12, 2008 10:45 PM  Permalink

I AM SURE THAT THE POLICE PLAYED THE TRICK OF ERASING THE EVIDENCE WITH THE HELP OF TALWARS BY ASKING THEM TO CREMATE THE BODY AND ALSO ALL OTHER MATERIAL EVIDANCE AVAILABLE AT THE PLACE OF CRIME AND THEN WENT ON HARASSING TALWAR FAMILY FOR MONEY FALSELY IMPLICATING AND DRAGING THEM INTO THE CASE.
UP POLICE OFFICERS MUST BE MADE A PARTY TO THE CRIME AND MUST BE SUBJECTED TO NARCO AND OTHER TESTS THAT TALWARS HAVE UNDER GONE. UNLESS THESE TYPE OF CRUELITY IS MEETED OUT TO THEM, OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL NEVER ACT RESPONSIBLY.
I HAVE SEEN THE UP POLICE HANGING A SMALL BOY UPSIDE DOWN IN A TREE AND MERCILESSLY BEATING THE BOY. WITH THIS WE CAN IMAGINE THEIR REAL FORM INSIDE THE TORTURE CELL. IF POWER IS GIVEN IN THE HANDS OF CRIMINALS, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS. IT IS HIGH TIME THAT OUR CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM IS THOROUGHLY MODIFIED TO SUIT TODAYS CIVILISED SOCIETY.
RECENTLY OUR MEDIA HAS BEEN BEAMING THE PICTURE OF DR HANEEF SITTING BENDING IN A CORNER HANDS TIED IN AUTRALIA. THIS IS NOTHING COMPARED TO OUR POLICE ATTROCITIES . WE HAVE NO RIGHT TO COMMENT ON OTHER COUNTRIES POLICE, WHEN WE ARE IN BRITISH RAJ EVEN AFTER INDEPENDANCE.
POLITITIANS WAKE UP TO THE OCCASSION.
