Aarushi
by sharath amm on Jul 12, 2008 03:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

if these servents are guilty of crime,it should be an eye opener to upper middle class society where it is fashionable to have more servents. Many of them illtreat them also without realizing that times have changed with servents having education and knowing their rights.Even though I don't have any sympathy for Krishna and Rajkumar, but to some extend Talwar is also responsible since he ill treated Krishna

In this episode - there is only one guilty person and that is Dr Rajesh Talwar. Giving access to his family to males belonging to a class of people who cannot interact with women except in a crude manner makes him guilty and not Rajkumar , Shyam Kumar or whoever.

where is accountability /
by Shaan Nair on Jul 12, 2008 02:53 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

as per NOIDA police , Dr Talwar had confessed kiling his daughter . The same officials who screwd up the investigations so badly would have a free run without any accountability of the sufferings by the victim;s family . It is a shame how investigations are run in this country . Anybody who can be framed and tortured to obtain confessional statements without an iota of evidence

u know pal how "confessions" are obtained in this country! u r picked up coz its convenient for the police and a nice juicy story put out for the benefit of our heroic media ! the entertainment loving public laps up the story and bays for yr blood! u r put in a lock up with shit and piss on the floor.. with criminals who beat u up or sodomise u.. the police beats u up with 3rd degree treatment and u just say anything they want u to say.. admit to anything they want u to.. and u become an "accused" and the police's darling media pronounces u guilty and demands exemplary punishment ! later if it turns out that its a hoax there is no case against u.. then what? nothing! many among the public wont still believe that ur innocent coz that spoils the fun! its like roman amphi-theatres of old.. where the public came to see bloodshed and fun.. thay wudnt leave unless someone got killed! and if u have suffered for months completely unjustly and unnecessarily , in a lock up or a jail all the cruellest of indecencies then thats just too bad!no cop .. no judge and no mdia person wud ever be taken to task for that! th right to freedom of life and liberty in our constitution is a sham!

Forget media - a family like Dr Talwar keeping male servants with a you daughter at home is criminal behaviour and Dr Talwar should be punished for that. poor Arushi got killed because of a foolish dad and mom and not because of Rajkumar or Hemraj. I just hope the shame and punishment Talwar has gone through opens the eyes of other idiots who keep male servants.

Media only did its job. If a father allows his daughter to die - then he should be ready to face this. Talwar is guilty of gross negligence.

If this is your conclusion that he was responsible for his daughters death then it shows your journalistic iq assuming you are someone in media. Foolish dad? Domestic help have been in India for years. If father allows his daughter to die? As if he was wishing whatever happened to his daughter. Put yourself in someonelses shoes before you express your views. I just hope assuming you are related to media that it opens your eyes of media coverage and you feel ashamed of yourself.

well - I don't know ANYONE who keeps MALE servants in India especially if there are women at home. Even the servants in harems were men who had their's cut off before they were allowed to serve. There was obviously a reason - ANY man is capable of rape and murder given the right opportunity and circumstances.

Having Domestic male at home may be unintentional error on their part. That doesnt excuse of accusing Talwars of responsible for sad death of their daughter. There are many male servants right now in India who are probably helping in many families with women. There are always exceptions. This was sad unfortunate case that happened. Domestic help should be thoroughly investigated and registered with cops before they are employed. I think they are doing that in Mumbai.

Insensitive Cops
by Jaims on Jul 12, 2008 01:53 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The entire incident had a serious impact on the society & have forced atleast some young girls to develop fear for their father. This ugly scenario was created by those Noida Cops through their press conference. The action of those insensitive cops raises serious concerns about the quality of top cops. How cheaply they had cooked up a story. They should be given the maximum punishment.
Also the media - some channels stooping down to any level to get publicity. Throw shit at their face. One famous reporter who had widely & wrongly covered the Aarushi case shifted to another news channel recently. In the name of Journalism, these people are making a mockery of them selves.
We can only pray that let God punish these insensitive cops & reporters & make them suffer much more than what Talwar suffered in Jail & what Aarushi is suffering after her death.

If young girls have developed fear for fathers, than they dont need the Arushi murder case, where at least Talwar was found innocent. More shoking cases than this one have appeared in the media, where in the fathers have been found guilty by the law. One recent example is the Austrian dad who locked his daughter for 20 yrs in the cellar and had couple of kids with her. Also even in India there are plenty of cases of girl child rapes, female infanticides, honour killings, by fathers. Also recollect the Madelein case where the parents were treated as suspects by the police initially.

In Mumbai yesterday a father and mother, one
Mohammed Munna Khan and his wife Gulnaaz were
sentanced for life (in jail) for strangulating
and hacking their 25-year old daughter, Mehnaz.

The court did not consider capital punishment
as it would have a bad impact on the couple's
six other children...
