As a Chair person of UPA we expected a statement from Madam about this important national issue. Sofar we did not hear any word from her. Does she know anything about nuclear deal. I request Manishankar Aiyar to prepare a text for her to read out. Shame on you congress ki chamcha log. How long you will carry this puppet on your shoulder.

She'll have to take some classes to understand it, or even speak technical terms. After living n India for 40 years she can't speak Hindi. I doubt with that intelligence she'll even dare to open her mouth on nuclear issue...

Nehru had died long before the Simla Agreement. It was his daughter, Indira Gandhi who signed the agreement.
Little knowledge is dangerous. So I suggest you research more and not demonstrate your ignorance publicly

Please check ur history again...wasnt it Indira Gandhi who signed the Simla agreemnt?
There is a lot to be read when Mukherjee told that though not constitutionally, there was a need to seek vote of confidence politically. Congress is aware that, for sure, the opposition parties-especially BJP will be imputing cowardice to Congress if the latter does not seek vote of confidence and resorts to winning the no confidence motion only when it is imposed and thrusting it is imminent. It wanted to gracefully come out of the situation & prove to people that it never lacked courage to do good things. The fact that Pakistan for which it had its known hatred, too opposed the deal because it benefits us-a thing which it never relishes, should have made BJP open its eyes to reality before it vents out its dissent for the deal any more. The mild & meek looking Manmohan looks like a great hard mountain to dash against now for all his political opponents.Well done Manmohanji!!Like the economic reforms which tranformed the country's economy into a booming one to the extent of making it an icon in the world map, this deal too is going to make your name immemorial-especially for the fortitude with which you went ahead unmindful of all political threats and cat calls. But please remember that Congress is not going to confer the same attitude on you if it gets another milder scape goat for its activities.Nation thanks you only personally as Manmohan, the P.M.of the country and certainly not because you belong to Congress.Good luck to you in all your endeavours & all the Best to the nation

What is it that you found to be non-sense Sharada Swain?Be clear in your communication.
US will get access to check our installations and can take the control. Because the all other suppliers will dance on their tune. Manmohan is going to surrender India for this

I suppose you a commie because that is the commie view.
Have it occurred to you why we went to IAEA and not the US nuclear establishment for the safeguard agreement? So IAEA would monitor the safeguard. India is a member of IAEA - an international body like the UN.
The issue is simple like this. The US is willing to support our civilian nuclear program and not our military program. They are say you separate your reactors as civilian and military. We will support the former provided the facility is not diverted to make nuclear bombs. So the safeguards - monitored by IAEA

I think all our reactor will be under IAEA supervision including Russian FBR ............ and no question of Nuclear weapon ..... actually you are person from Nehruvian breed cannot understand war politics even we know what happened in 1948 and 1962 ........... Now dont come up with comment of simulation ..........its totally nonsense

only the civilian reactors that india identifies will be under IAEA safe guards. after the us congress passes the law, india need to submit the list of civilian reactors to iaea and only those will be under the safeguards. the reactors that india identifies as military do not come under iaea safeguards. i hope this clears the misconception

It does not matter what you or I think. What matters is what the text of the Agreement says in black and white.
It says clearly 14 reactors. India has yet to declare which of the 14 out of 22 we now possess wil be under the deal. That will occur only after the US Congress clear the deal

According to its critics, the PNAC promotes American "hegemony" and "Full-spectrum" dominance in its own publications featured on its website.[27][28][29][30]
Ebrahim Afsah, in "Creed, Cabal, or Conspiracy – The Origins of the Current Neo-Conservative Revolution in US Strategic Thinking", published in the German Law Journal, cites Jochen Bölsche's view that the goal of the PNAC is world dominance or global hegemony by the United States.[31][32] According to Bölsche, Rebuilding America's Defenses "was developed by Rumsfeld, Cheney, Wolfowitz and Libby, and is devoted to matters of 'maintaining US pre-eminence, thwarting rival powers and shaping the global security system according to US interests.'"[31][32]
William Rivers Pitt, editorial director of Progressive Democrats of America, writes, in an editorial published by Truthout.org, that the PNAC is motivated by an imperial agenda of US military expansionism, which will bring negative side effects to ordinary citizens of the United States, while it enriches some industries: "defense contractors who sup on American tax revenue will be handsomely paid for arming this new American empire."[33]
George Monbiot, a political activist from the United Kingdom, observes: "...to pretend that this battle begins and ends in Iraq requires a willful denial of the context in which it occurs. That context is a blunt attempt by the superpower to reshape the world to suit itself."[34]

Especially after people have seen the text, President Kalam and Brajesh Mishra categorically lending their support for the deal.
