This issue is political. There are national interests, but the left hardly bothers. Their masters have put nationalism above ideology. China wants to increase the size of the cake and distribute. Ours, a typical dog in the manger policy of spreading misery around.
Though we are now more plugged into the world through this treaty, renewable energy will be the saviour in ten years. Billions are invested in solar, wind, hydrogen cell etc. A car to run on water is also making the headlines in Japan. A break-through in technology is a sure-bet so let us be more prepared to plug into it!
If nuclear deal was meant to produce more power, it should have been welcome only on that count. Ask a Maharastrain what it means to go without power for 6-10 hours a day. Govt need to focus on water, roads, power and schools first. Any govt intending to do this is welcome, no matter if it's headed by a maulana or a modi

hey thank u bro u are speaking for us we dont have power in dombivli from morning 8:15am to 11:00am then in the evening it goes from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm we get power just to cook food and eat food and sleeep without mosquito bites the weeks i do night shift i cant sleep in the day as there is no power and no rains this year and no water

Do not compare India with Pakistan. By all standards INDIA is atleast 4 times economically bigger than Pakistan.
Pakistan is also trying to come up. They are following Indian model. Both got independent, same time but India took the lead and is currently tring to be at par with Chinese economy.
China is definitely far ahead of India and we need to catch on.
In civil nuclear use , china and India are almost at par. ( In number of reactors and electricity produced) But if we look at Chinese plans , 10 years from now China would have taken a definite lead over India and 20 years from Now China will be doing better than RUSSIA.
So we need to wake up and stop these INDIAN Commies who do not want Indian Nuclear Industry to develop and come to a respectable position.
Today Indian Nuclear route generated electricity is just at 4% while WORLD AVERAGE is 16% !!! We are nowhere close to World average!!
Wake up and support Nuclear deal, open route for UNINTERUPTED flow of URANIUM Fuel and Latest reactor designs. Once it is initiated, India will catch on.

China is a nuclear weapons state and India is now a non-nuclear weapons state. This is a vast difference. China is one of 5 most important countries of the world. India is just one of the othjers. This is due to this DEAL, Man Mohan Singh is signing Thus, India and Pakistan is at par, both client states of USA.

I am nt an ardent support of Left at all. but, onething is sure, they r in power with support of common people and the leaders are actually controlling the party. it is not like MM Singh, who is just a rubber stamp PM.
History by adding just another page in useless Govts. Anybody to bet--India won't hav electricity,water,roads 25 years from now. In US TV channels and newpapers are not even giving passing reference to so called NUCLEAR DEAL and Indian politicians have already wasted 4 yrs on that like there is nothing else to do. Infact usually there is not much news about India in US as nobody cares and we don't have any friends internationally for us to be noticed or being considered as strong force.
