Sorry mate but i disagree,
1)the govt gave away about 25 billion in farmer's debt,
2) inflation to 2 digits and economic growth down to 7%.
3) 49.5% reservation.
4) The nuclear deal was bound to happen anyway. I think it is the only good decision that has been made in this govt tenure.

Apart from that no major policies, absolutely nothing.
And about Sonia Gandhi being a PM. Did anyone think of the fact that both Indira Gandhi n Rajov Gandhi were assassinated. I think this was d major reason fro her stepping down from the PM post rather than making a so called SACRIFICE.

I agree these are not good signs for the economy. But this is the same scenario around the world. You tell one country which is still growing at the same pace as it used to be for last few years. One country whicc is not affected by inflation.

BEST PM
by vishalraj on Jul 11, 2008 08:32 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

it a been a very sorry affair reading all the articles below.DR MMS has been one of the honest PM ever in the INDIAN history having not a single back mark on his carrer. A when reformer and a very good admistrater. When some time we have seen him weak but that is only because on coalition parties.BUT NOW HE IS STRONG ENOUGH TO GO WITH THE DEAL EVEN AT THE COST OF THE GOVERMENT.
in yhe pervious 3.5 years he had done everthing for the betternment of the country n its people.all the oppsition parties were targeting him claming him to be a weak PM but he continue to do his a job in a good way.
INFLIATION has been aglobal issue(china being all time high 22 )with all the developing countries.
I WILL NEVER SAY BACK HIM IN THE NEXT ELECTION BUT PLEASE BACK IN FOR THE NUCLEAR DEAL AS HE IS TRYING TO DO SOMETHING BETTER FOR THE COUNTRY N ITS PEOPLE...

GIVE UR OPINION PLS.......

Vishal,
I dont know about the credibility of this guy manmohan singh earlier. But the way he talked and acted in the last 2 weeks, I am sorry to say he lost full credibility if he had any.

PM said the IAEA agreement text can not be shared with the public and can only be shared with those in the Govt. Left insisted for it. PM kept on telling the same that I cant show you. All of a sudden, just after Left withdrwan support, IAEA agreement is shared with the public that too appeared in a govt website.

So now tell me why PM lied

UPA combine will win next elections hands down.
by jamsheed basha abumohammed on Jul 11, 2008 08:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congress is all set to sweep the next elections mainly due to its stand in the recent Nuke deal drama. Its attitude towards the Left would win more votes this time.BJP would be no where near to win to claim to form the Govt. UPA and allies would increase their tally. A candidate from the Congress will become the PM belying the hopes of Advani. He will remain in the opposition. Indian voters are intelligent. They need development which is seen in the four year old Manmohan Ministry. They do not wish to waste time in Mandir-Masjid dispute and the present youth is interested in making money out of economic boom seen only recently. The peoples best bet is Congress and allies who alone can take India to the threshold of one of the greats in terms of economic development. If anybody could go near China, it is India and the next five years would reveal how India is capable of caputuring world market. USA will be relegated to the background and India would become the greatest economic power besides its population, which is an added advantage. Many European and South East Asian countries look for India to provide them tech know-how, manpower and necessary infrastructure to further their interest. India is all set to banish poverty and create new employment to our youth. The prosperity now seen was never seen before. If BJP is voted to power, they reverse the process and waste time in Mandir-Masjid dispute which will fill the belly of many hungry Indians and poor farmers who need energy

30: 70 ratio
by rajeev tiwari on Jul 11, 2008 08:29 PM  Permalink

it was my correct projection submitted in writing to this website that not more than 30% favor Dr singh as a potential PM due to various reasons where he is not in tune with people and it may be total loss of face for him in next elections together with congress party due to lack of leadership only dealership

Advani right choice
by pid on Jul 11, 2008 08:23 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Advani only can take the country forward. I lived in Junagadh, Gujarat four years back. The nawab of Junagadh, who now lives in Pak, claims the revenue collected from there, sitting in Pak and the congress govts. at centre have been telling state govt. to maintain separate accounts for Junagadh state and not take the revenue. Such a cowardice !

Advani visited there when he was home minister, heard this and stopped this nonsense. Now Junagadh roads are shining !

Can anyone explain this cowardice by congressmen ? Abhishek Manu Singvi pleads the case on behalf of Dow Chemicals ( formerly Union Carbide ) in the Supreme Court, saying the victims have been more than well paid off and no more liability for the company ! Shame to congress honchos !

The problem is that such nice and fine events are not reported in the media and only breaking news are widely publicised. Our electronic media is to be blamed ! They get monthly allowance from ISI for fomenting mistrust among communities !
