All these halla ballu is for the sake of 6800MW of nuclear energy by 2020. ie 3% of total. Energy starts flowing in 2020. At the present rate of inflation it will cost Rs20/- per unit. Taking into account the decommissioning corpus fund the cost will be Rs30-40 per unit.
This is from Uranium. Uranium is scarce and is reported that world total deposit will last only up to 2070 at the present rate of mining. As it becomes scarce it is natural that the Uranium price will be exorbitantly high making the nuclear power uneconomical and financially un-viable. Congress released a document projecting the energy needs of India. Read Times of India 9.7.08. “Congress releases document on nuke deal's importance”. India wants to generate 26% of total in 2050. That is around 120000MW. Can anyone imagine the total cost of projects and the decommissioning cost burdened on our children to build such a huge capacity addition by 2050? Is it a realistic projection? Remember Uranium deposit will be depleting at faster rate. This does not stand to logic. Why does the congress come out with such false/unrealistic documents? Whom do they want to fool? Smells -some negotiation is in the pipe-line. The above document can be used to substantiate the financial viability. Beware Indians!! Read posting of the Reporter in another thread!!:)

Obama lends his support to N-deal

Obama's support is not likely to have any impact on comrades' attitude since the esence of their opposition is anti- Americanism.

Sonia is in a hurry to sign the deal to divert peoples' attention
by Ram Sharma on Jul 11, 2008 06:44 PM  Permalink

We should not sign the deal unless Hyde act is made unapplicable. As I had been telling that next US President will also b ready for this deal, now Obama has also supported the deal. Hence we should not hurry.

Sonia is raising this issue so strongly now, to divert peoples' attention from the real burning problems of the country. Otherwise MMS had said sometime back that this deal not everything.

This is not a bad news for commies, it is bad niews for UPA, who say that we must sign the deal just now itself, otherwise the sky will fall.

Do not criticise commies just for the sake of it.

RE:Read DA VINCI CODE

Mr. John,
When u write something, write something meaningful.
Taking a christain name and bashing Bible does not prove any authenticity.

Whether it is Davinci Code,or Last tEmptation or Satanic Verses or M.F.Hussain's painting or all such things is made for publicity and selling their product.

Its all art. Don't claim historical authenticity for that

Davinci Code is a fiction. Even Dan brown did not claim beyond that.
Don't try to make that as research paper done by very famous scientists/archeologists.
You read , njoy and forget

agree with you. but bible, koran, mahabharata etc - all these are also fiction and not history...thats why its called mythology and not history...and they are also used for selling a product, i.e., their respective religions...

so read , enjoy and forget...

Ranjit

You got the point man. I am not sure when the world wakes up to the reality, that religion is a myth perpetuated by people who want to gain whether its Mullah, Pandit, priest or any other equivalent in other religions. Except for an advantage of providing jobs by a business called god, they did not serve any purpose. One biggest disadvantage with religion is it increases population like anything without bothering whether the world can sustain the population or not.

all religious books are part philosophy, part fiction...taking them too seriously at the cost of giving up one's own logical thinking abilities has led to the chaos that we see around us.

Obama Supports Necluer Deal
by Girish Nadkarni on Jul 11, 2008 06:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This statement proves how much professional US politicians are. Obama fights with Bush for presidency but when it comes to national interest, both sing a similar song.

it was BJP whoinitiated this process during Atal Bihari Bajpayee tenure but when UPA took it to conclusion, BJP decided to oppose and accuse it similar to what they have done with VAT in India. BJP initiated VAT and then opposed when UPA finally introduced it.

How sad?

As far as my understanding goes, professionalism was never about being a "yes-man". It was about taking every issue on its merit and taking an objective view of it. Right?
So, without getting into details in this case, if nuclear deal was good for BJP to start with, it can't turn bad now just because somebody else is taking it forward.

The BJP started some very preliminary work on the nuclear deal, and they approached it correctly. As far as I know, all the controversial things for india (like hyde act etc.) happened once UPA started messing up the deal. Nuclear deal itsel is not bad, the way the UPA is trying to push it very bad and suspicious.

Regarding other things, the congress is a useless party that does not know how to run a country, how to work with the opposition when necessary. Look how Vajpayee got all the important things done, even though he had to deal with so many opposition. Don't blame the BJP for the stupid and high-handed behavior of congress.

Instead of writing Left ka baj gaya, you should hv written Congress ka baj gaya, as this party is crying that we must sign the just now otherwise the sky will fall. Congress is unnecessarily doing like this just to divert peoples' attention from the real issues like inflation, farmers' suicide etc.
