Numbers game
by Bodh Ramdeo on Jul 12, 2008 06:55 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

BJP may think that the failure of this 'deal' will be to their benefit- the reverse is true. The majority of their votes come from urban areas and these voters, by and large, favor the deal.
If their selfish actions lead to the derailment of the deal, there will be a huge voter back-lash come next elections. Are they willing to risk their party's future for something they themselves initiated?

Beware of Congress, Butcherer of 5000 Sikhs
by Bharat Kr on Jul 11, 2008 11:06 PM  Permalink

Our Sikh brothers must not link this national issue of importance with religion and stick to NDA. Manmohan Singh making a blunder for the nation and our future. He is surely under US pressure to pursue this unequal deal, which is detrimental to our nation's interests. May Bhagavan give sadbuddhi to MM Singh. As a PM, he have to realise he don't represent only Congress party but the whole nation. He must respect the majurity view of the nation and not bulldozed a deal like a dictator. Congress is playing dangerous games only to stay in power and loot our nation. They digged out a dead issue to cover up all failures in the last four years. Inflation rose to near 12%, price rises manifolds, over 80000 farmers committed suicides, terror attack increasing and list goes on. People of India will vote based on these issues, not fraud nuclear deal. Another Congress Bofors scandals in the making, Sonia and her clan will be more richer.

Powe hungry BJP

In last few days only msg coming out of BJP is to throw Congress out and they come to power. They are not speaking anything on deal.. just normal rheotheric... ''Congress is bad''' blah.. blah.. blah.
I think Mr. Advani realises that it is his last bet at power and if he does not becomes PM this term then he can never become. So they are jumping up and down to throw govt and have deviated from the issue of the N-deal

Why blaming BJP? Congress losts majority by their own, as their partner Left withdrew support. It was 1998, Congress and left got together to brought down the BJP-led Govt, by one vote. That one vote also given by the Congress Orissa Chief Minister, making the parliament mockery. You seems very young, you need to learn more. How many non-Congress state govts Congress brought down last 4 years, do you have any idea? MM Singh even cheated President kalam to dissolve Bihar assembly. Wake up friend.

You are wrong. Don't think those are opposing, all are BJP and their supporters. They need not ne, every body have their own thinking about the nation. Did you read Hyde Act? Please read and see the conditions, which will ban India future nuclear tests, and strip India as nuclear weapon state. I hope, you don't what that.

open letter to BJP
by moti on Jul 11, 2008 02:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I adored BJP leaders long back. They really did nice job during their tenure, despite generally corrupt indian mindset. They could not pursue the nuclear deal during their tenure. they succumbed to pressure. Congress was wrong in supporting them at that time. they know it would give us electric energy security. in the name of RAM, please do not play the same game played by congress against you. In the national interest, support the congress for this deal.
congress & BJP united together can get the nation rid of mushrooming corruption and compulsions of pleasing hundreds of small political parties.

Why cant BJP play the same game Congress played? Does congress have a patent on the game ?

Anyway BJP is communal and evil. They cant be improved. Secular parties dont support them. Whats the problem if they play games ? I think they have the freedom to play games.

Very well said Vikas. Everybody want BJP to play fair games and stay out of power eternally. These same people never speak, when Congress illegally removed BJP govts in Goa, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar and lists goes on. Congress must be dismantled, we don't need monarchy. Let we learn to rule our nation by ourselves. Do we have no capabilities to rule? Do we need Firangees and Gandhi tags to rule us eternally?

Akali Dal will not support Congress
by Vikas on Jul 11, 2008 02:39 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

MMS is not a leader of Punjab.
He is a rajya sabha memmber from Assam.

Akali Dal will not commit political suicide just because MMS is a Sikh.

Akali dal has confirmed that they will support BJP and oppose congress.

Anyway Congress is secular, why do they want the support of communla parties like akali dal and shivsena ? Isnt it wrong ?

Very well said, Vikas. Keep it up. Relion-based muslim reservation is secular, when someone oppose then they are communal. Haj subsidy with Hindu taxes are secular, taking away a small piece of barren land for Hindu religious purposes is secular, when Hindus voice they ar ecommunal. The fact is that Congress is the mother communalism, riots and terror.
