ISI - A Danger to Pakistan Itself
by Kris iyer on Jul 11, 2008 10:38 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

ISI - A "free-wheeling" secret organisation which supports so many extremist entities like Lashkar and individuals like Dawood, will eventually pose a danger to Pakistan itself. Some thoughtful Pakistanis are already wondering if ISI may have been behind the assasination of Benazir Bhutto. Baitullah Masud, the de facto ruler of Swat, has denied he had anything to do with that assasination. It is alleged ISI removed crucial evidence from the crime scene.
In the past some Pakistanis have asked if, ISI may have been behind Zia-ul-Huq's death in an air-crash. Neither CIA, nor RAW wanted Zia dead.
Some in Pakistan have also speculated on ISI and the "witnesses" against Z.A. Bhutto in his "murder" trial.

The Afghans are increasingly attributing their troubles to Pakistan and the ISI. The same Taliban, now a customer of the ISI, may turn against Pakistan. The Pakhtoons and Taliban are one and the same people. They will get together against the Punjabis of the ISI.

ISI must learn to further peace with both India and Afghanistan. Everyone will gain. Pakistan must intensify trade with both India, Afghanistan and central Asia. It is within ISI's powers to foster or wreck the gas pipe deal. By establishing peaceful conditions, ISI will find that Pakistan and its people will grow rich and powerful. The world will respect them.
There is no Future in Islamic Extremism for anybody, not for Pakistan or Afghanistan, certainly. Focus on economic development.

Organized religion is organized madness. Things will go on as usual. All these talk is time waste. The basic difference between Islam and other religions is that the 'State' does not legalize fundamentalism. For all other religions the State mandates, One-Law, Uniform Civil Code & Gender Equality. Christians, Jews, Parsis, Sikhs, Buddhists and Hindus have the same value system in the 21st century; All of them have modernized. They all believe in One-Law, Gender Equality, Uniform Civil Code, Freedom, Democracy and "True" secularism. What matters in life is the intensity of our work and inner fulfillment. Neither archaic religion, nor pseudo modernity can save humanity. People who will continue to succeed, are one's who will cultivate talent, knowledge, action in themselves and in others and seek equality in laws, principles and values. Rest is all waste of time and energy. Every developed country in the world is secular and excel in life, work, sports, performance and productivity.

The Failing State...
by Kris on Jul 11, 2008 07:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The uncontrollable ISI, Taliban & the Al Qaeda are all byproducts of the 'Afghanistan Policy' of the US since 1979. In the name of fighting an evil called 'Communism', they encouraged the bigger evil of 'Islamism'. This finally boomeranged on them in the form of 9/11. This goes to show how dangerous it is to stoke religious fervour even if its for a good cause. Religious appeasement is a risky thing to do with muslims. Gandhiji's appeasement of muslims (Eg.Khilafat movement) had to finally lead to the partition of India.

Islam is one of the most orthodox, inflexible and backward (Turkey, Malaysia are exceptions) religions around. It is going to take a long time for the embers of the fire lit in the 1980's to die down though the US seems to be stomping on it hard now. If things don't get any better, sooner or later the US has to intervene in Pakistan as well..

Majority Muslims -- Failed State, unless of course you have free oil and continuous US support, Minority Muslims -- Burden on Society, Turkey is not Islamic but Aggressively Secular -- with One Law, Uniform Civil Code and Gender Equality strictly enforced by their military and justice system like in Israel, China, Korea, Japan and Western nations. Malaysia and Indonesia dilly-dallies, but since they are situated far away from the Middle-East and have strong influence of Far-East nations and Australia, hence have a progressive bent of mind. And most even have Sanskritized names like Mahathir, Megawati and call their airlines -- Garuda, with the emblem of Ganesh on their currency notes which would be readily called 'communal' in so called 'secular' India from where all these ideas and real secularism originated. The madness continues.

Gul Hamid the top honcho of ISI was openly praising prisoners of Guatanamo Bay prison. Saying that USA wouldn't be able to break the morale of Jihadi fighters. He was on CNN!. CNN of USA telecasting at prime time in United States of America. This was in year 2002.
It took them 6 years to realize that ISI is a terrorist sympathizer no it is a pseudo terrorist outfit.
Zia-ul-Haq filled ISI top ranking position with Islamic Fundamentalist in the 80's.
Sorry to say but CIA definitely needs an overhaul. India and Afghanistan was screaming foul so long but America blind love for Pakistan overtook their common sense.

On June 24, 2008, Chinese authorities in Xinjiang demolished a mosque of the Uighurs for refusing to put up signs in support of this August’s Beijing Olympics, an Uighur exiled group stated. Now, nobody neither the CPI nor the Islamic world raised any hue and cry about the whole thing. It is because China makes sure that it deals with the show of strength. And so do America, Europe, Israel, Japan, Turkey who stick firmly to logical and meaningful secularism of one-law, uniform civil code and gender equality and keeping their focus firmly on life, work, sport, performance and productivity, instead of pandering to time wasting mediocrity. They are not having any meetings to share fresh terror information. India should learn to have clarity and focus in meaningful action, threat perception and premonitions, and learn from history to deal with this. One cannot be endlessly flexible to a stubborn attitude which does not even understand humanity. There is no majority or minority; there is only one humanity with the best of values - one law, uniform civil code & gender equality - as all secular countries have.

Quite in contrast to this, on July 8, 2008, Bangladeshi novelist Taslima Nasreen was coveted the honorary citizen of Paris, by Mayor Bertrand Delano, praising her courage and freedom struggle. "You have been chased out of your home because you raised your voice against the inhumanity of fanatism," Delanoe told a Paris city council meeting. "You are at home here, in this city where men are born and live free and equal and where no one is condemned for their views," said the mayor. Describing Nasreen as a "woman of exemplary courage and a freedom fighter", Delanoe submitted a resolution to the city council proclaiming her an honorary citizen, and the measure was expected to win approval. Nasreen was forced to flee Bangladesh in 1994 after radical Muslims accused her of blasphemy over her novel "Lajja" which depicts the life of a Hindu family persecuted by Muslims in the country. But anyway, the genocide of Muslims by Muslims is also quite common as happened in Bangladesh in 1971 by the Pakistani army when they could not digest their loss in elections to Mujibur. Hence, democracy was always a failure there; as is in most Muslim nations. A nagging problem is just a repetition of unpalatable truths.

The most corrupt and mediocre countries of the world today are the Islamic countries. NEW YORK: India has been ranked a lowly 74, two steps down since last year, among 180 countries of the world on the worldwide Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), prepared by independent international agency Transparency International. However, corruption is much higher in Pakistan which occupies 140th place, a little below Iran, Libya and Nepal which are ranked 133, 134 and 135 respectively. Meanwhile, China which was ranked a joint 72 with India in 2007, slided a step down to occupy a place above its neighbour this year. Among other Asian countries, Russia is placed still lower on 145, while Sri Lanka occupies the 96th position and Maldives is ranked 90. B'desh was beyond computation. Those who have free oil and US support survive, rest are all into terrorism and blackmail for survival. There are two failed systems - Islam & Communism.

India is 50% Islamic country surrounded by fools. Muslims are stuck in the rut everwhere. AIMPLB against codification of uniform personal law New Delhi, Jul 7 (PTI) The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has asked the Government to reject any proposal to codify uniform personal law for all Muslims irrespective of their sect and school of Islamic
jurisprudence. The executive committee of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board is totally opposed to codification of uniform Shariah law as it will empower the state to alter, change, amend, add and delete rules of Shariat, the AIMPLB said in a release here. Any such proposals are "ill-motivated, ill-adviced and these measures have been suggested to pave the way for enactment of Uniform Civil Code and to deprive the Muslims of their fundamental right to get family disputes settled according to the rules of Shariat", it said. This medieval mediocrity in the gard of "Pseduo" Secularism.
