the debate in parliament (supporting and opposing the deal) is only with the aim of garning more and more votes in the next election - 80% of the Parliamentarians are with zero intellectual and brain - balance 20% only thinks and acts... If you really calculate the population of India with the number of members in parliament, again with the people supporting and opposing - you will finally get a double digit figure, who take the historical decision for the nation.... and that is the JOKE of democracy (democrazy)
Nuclear Deal issue should be taken into Supreme Court urgently. Because Congress Party in the name of National Security keeps all secret issues hidden and never took the approval in the Parliament House. Since the matter (N-deal) is not passed in the parliament, it can not be a law. Therefore somebody should file a petition in Supreme Court in urgently to challenge the legality of the deal which strictly hampering the national interest and sovereignty of the nation, Congress does not respect the mandate of people's opinion and also does not respect the Parliament. Let Congress Party give the details of the N-deal agreement to the Supreme court and legality of the deal in terms of national security and sovereignty be scrutinized in Supreme Court. Let somebody file the petition in the Supreme Court.

Every issue cannot go to the supreme court else let the cheif justice become the prime minister. The deal is recognizing India as the sixth nuclear weapon state without having to sign CTBT & NPT. It ensure fuel supply for our reactors and considering the alarming rate of global warming it is the energy for future. It facilitates technolgy transfer in all other areas and also doesn't put a stop on nuclear testing. A testing would simply mean restoration of the current status.
By being a nucler pariah what have we gained ? Nothing. Its a golden opportunity which we should grab with both hands.

India is not congress party's personal property. if anything of national interest, then that should be transparent and indians have right to know what is good for the country, national security and sovereignty.

The Judges are all political appointees..maybee u are yet to know this nude fact..so by the time the matter is taken to Indian Judiciary the verdict can be got in say 25 years..so best of luck usamanta...heheheh such corrupt is the Indian Judiciary..even if u want to prove via Indian Judiciary the colour of ur own blood it will take 20 years...and mind u..even ur neighbour then can get an stay and further deny the truth by another 20 yrs..by then u will have no reason to know the verdict..good luck to u..
first of all, let us have a pragmatic approach towards nuclear blast and proliferation. Do you think that China or Pakistan will drop a nuclear bomb in India or any other country, in case of a conflict or war. It is easy for anybody to say but very difficult to take such a decision and use. Even if they use, do you think that they will survive after that - would the world keep quite on them? With a positive approach towards the deal, if it benefits India on its power requirements, we should support the arrangement in all possible ways. It is not the question of a couple of hundred people in Parliament supporting or opposing the deal - many a brain and efforts would have gone behind the agreement taking care of every aspect of the deal before it is proposed - after all it concerns the nation not the parliament. Today's government may not be tomorrow and day after...today's ruling party may be in opposition tomorrow and the deal would have an impact on every citizen of Indian including the law makers.. When we do not have the requisite expertise and knowledge about nuclear proliferation vis-a-vis the deal, let us leave it to the law makers for their best decision. Let us not get involved in dirty politics...
RE:I am with the final decision - it may be a boon or curse to the Nation, because we are a democratic country where such decisions are taken by the ruling Government

YES we must have pragmatic approach and our such views should not be relative one.Once told pragmatic it should be uninterpretatable pragmatism in real sense. Clause 11 of IAEA draft agreement is tricky one and thus Indian Nuclear power intentions in the matters of National security are not served. If it is a non prolification priciple then IAEA should impose these conditions on all other nations and first disarm them from Nuclear weapons. There can be no haves and have nots in such matters.US can not play the role of big brother as US is a major culprit. The agreement that the present Government is trying to impose do not appear trasparent abut Smoky. If the Government were honest they should have clearled all the doubts aired.LEFT's oppossion is not the question here. The question is dis honesty in presentation of facts. The minority and government with vested interests should not decide it at this hour. Therre must be a fair acceptable deal in terms of national interests but not the at the future trade interests of ruling party and it's family members.
Congrats to the team that handled the deal. You have extracted things which were unthinkable by many.
List of insatllations has not been provided very cleverly on the pretext that it is interchangeable (Milatry or civilian). Advani would have handed over everything.

the congress is the smartest political party in India..rest are traitors and anti-nationals..they do not know how to manage a gulley..forget this nation..most of the congress policies are best for this nation
India would require 500-600 thousand MW of power by 2030 up from 132,110 at present. Thus nuclear power is the only way forward for India. Energy needs of India are increasing exponentially and only nuclear power is the way forward. Increased price of oil and gas internationally, issues of climate change associated with coal as well as the breakdown of consensus on big dams, India needs Nuclear Energy. India generates 132,110 lakh MW of power annually. Of this, 64.7 per cent is generated from thermal power, 26.2 per cent is generated through hydro electric power, 5.9 per cent is from renewable power sources and only 3.1 per cent through nuclear power.Nuclear power would contribute 10 per cent of the country's energy needs by the year 2022 and 26 per cent of the needs by the year 2052. Share of nuclear power in world wide energy production was one per cent in 1960 and between 1960 to 1986, it rose to 16 per cent of world's energy production. The share has remained constant since then. There are 439 nuclear power reactors operating around the world and the US accounts for 104 of these reactors followed by France at 59, Japan at 55, Russian Federation 31 and Republic of Korea 20. Out of the 35 new nuclear power plants under construction in the world, Asia accounts for 24 of these. While China is building six new nuclear power plants to get 5,222 MW power for its grid, India too is building six such plants which would add 2910 MW of to its grid.
The main problems of the text of the Deal are (a) the list of facilities are not mentioned. (b) who would decide which should be included, India or USA? (c) Seperation of civilian and military facilities cannot be done even by USA as it means duplications of all facilities and double the manpower required. Can India afford that cost? (d) It is written clearly the Reprocessing plants will be subjected to further negotiations. This is the key to nuclear weapons and FBR
On the whole, it looks just like NPT, nothing less nothing more. Because it is too expensive for India to build up the military facilities and India will not be allowed to import any materials and equipments for the military facilities.
Who needs nuclear plants only to produce electricity? Electricity can be produced by 100 ways which are much cheaper than electricity to be produced by American plants. Remember ENRON.

You got it right. We do not know how good is the N-deal though it may look worthy for PM and Congress because nothing is transparent. Let all the Indian donkeys who believe that America is a true and honest friend who is striving hard to help India out understand after signing of the deal. But all those American breeds of India will not know it, the impact will be felt only by the poor common people of India. What happened to these supporters of Enron, why are they mum now. Why did the Congress oppose Enron at that time. They should have lapped it too since it was an American plan to help India. Majority of Indians are still mental slaves of European countries.

Mr. Varghese, you are those types .... stand, well ...sorry, bend in front of a provider (here, USA) and plead for alms, even beg. Not only for technology and equipments, but also for funds and finance. Your types mortgage own homes and family to be able to lick white skin, thats all. 200 years of English rule has inculcated that in most people of your caricature.
