U r a fool to say that Advani is a Pakistani. What about Sonia? U think she is not from Italy and MMS is not from Pakistan?

People living in united India before independence can b citizens of either country, depending on whether they migrated during the riots after independence as refugee etc. Musarraf was also born in Delhi.

Think before writing useless things, just bcz u want India to sign the deal, which should not b done till Hyde act made to b not applicable.

Do you have any sense. If Hindu refugees from Pakistan cannot be called as Indians then I think only the ISI people have the right to be called as true Indians.

Where is Karat and party now, China is building six new nuclear power plants
by Loga on Jul 10, 2008 07:58 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

India would require 500-600 thousand MW of power by 2030 up from 132,110 at present. Thus nuclear power is the only way forward for India.
Energy needs of India are increasing exponentially and only nuclear power is the way forward. Increased price of oil and gas internationally, issues of climate change associated with coal as well as the breakdown of consensus on big dams, India needs Nuclear Energy.
India generates 132,110 lakh MW of power annually. Of this, 64.7 per cent is generated from thermal power, 26.2 per cent is generated through hydro electric power, 5.9 per cent is from renewable power sources and only 3.1 per cent through nuclear power.Nuclear power would contribute 10 per cent of the country's energy needs by the year 2022 and 26 per cent of the needs by the year 2052.
Share of nuclear power in world wide energy production was one per cent in 1960 and between 1960 to 1986, it rose to 16 per cent of world's energy production. The share has remained constant since then. There are 439 nuclear power reactors operating around the world and the US accounts for 104 of these reactors followed by France at 59, Japan at 55, Russian Federation 31 and Republic of Korea 20.
Out of the 35 new nuclear power plants under construction in the world, Asia accounts for 24 of these. While China is building six new nuclear power plants to get 5,222 MW power for its grid, India too is building six such plants which would add 2910 MW of to its grid.

by Shiv Almal on Jul 10, 2008 07:57 PM  Permalink

Even if horse-trading, so what? All are free to this game and has played it in their interest (BJP was not exception). It is like "Chor ki dhadhi main tinka". Why UPA would like to take risk or chance? Left was nobody's friend and was to milk the cow and retain its own identity(Like Mayawati) and its anti-BJP is lost.

When former prime minister Shri Atal Bihari Bajpaei ,Shri Inder K Gujral,Shri Dev Goda Former President India Dr A PJ Abdul Kalam &Chairman Atomic Energy Board Anil Kakodkar ,Homi Sethna are not opposing India -America Atomic deal why our illiterate politicians are bend upon to destabilise the government.People of country very well know how scores of poor peasants were murdered by comrades in Nandigram as well as in Rajsthan by Bjp.When every day there are long power cuts due to power shortage from where country is going to get more Electicity. As for as Laloo Yadav is concerned please name a Railway Minister in independent India who put Railway on such solid ground without raising railway fairs even once in 4 years. Also name me a country where price rise and inflation s are not problem. We all should support India becoming super power . What Advani says is what all political party indulge in to retain power in times of crisis. Whether it is Congress or BJP, all resort to the same dirty game. For such an important national priority, all political parties are working together to ensure that the Govt. falls. The consequences of the fall of this Govt. would be drastic for India which no party wants to look at. They are only interested in the chair. If a person of the stature of Dr. Manmohan Singh and Dr. Abdul Kalam have endorsed the deal, what right do these politicians like Karat and Advani have in destabilising the country at this stage. V shd not be guided by such elements and protect our country from such power crazy roges.

Had national interest was on Manmohan Singhs' mind, he should have taken all the political parties into confidence instead of taking credit to himself. He should have given a credit to the NDA/BJP for having "initiated" the N-deal process. Their is no point in blaming BJP for opposing the deal. It seems that their desire is to "redraft" the deal agreement before signing on the dotted lines at the backdrop of minority status of the UPA government.

Kalam is a rocket scientist, and Manmohan is a Economist... None of them has greatly dealt with leadership, and soverign right of this nation.. Beside BJP is not against the deal, it is against the process that has been secretly been taken, and without the participation of important political opposition which BJP itself is.... What the hell would ManMohan singh know about whole ordeal, he is a remote control.
