There have been many many discussion, views and counter views on this deal making it the boring topic on earth.Bottomline is Advantages:It will help end India's isolation..critical to India's energy needs...position India's stature in intenational arena at new high..many more.. Disadvantages:there might be many hidden facts..Indai might not be able to conduct nuclear tests..it might affect India's sovereignity..make India a strategic partner of US which might land us in trouble..and many more..
Let History and people be the judges in case the nuclear deal goes through..
We need honesty and integrity on the part of everyone including Congress, BJP and Left..

Well.. history has proved that none are honest or got any integrity....
are Bengalis brain-dead? why the f**k they vote for left?...this is a party of sickos with its MP's on chinese payroll...they opposed computers and now the nuke deal...prakash karat what a retards he really is.

Hey Sushant, you forgot to mention something... What about the folks who vote for BJP who are against the nuke deal as well? I thought commies were the only anti national, now they have lot of patriotic friends as well...

BJP is infected by what they call as Mad-Cow disease...from a true nationalist party to another vote bank shithole...from hard core Hindutva to another sickular minority appeaser..advani even went ahead to praise stupid jinhha...i wonder with no Ram-mandir on agenda and with grey sikular leaders why the hell would Hindus support them?

CONGRESS AND COMMUNISTS HAVE BEEN BED MATES FOR 55YRS....SO ARE YOU JEALOUS NOW....
Pm is in the foriegn soil. They are planning a no confidence motion. BUt GOVT gets support to continue. Any other country (like our neighbour Pakistan) some guy like Musharaf will name himself the chief. MMS will have to hide to escape arrest. How ever bad Indian democracy has stooped it still works. People are decent and civilized.

Contd.. There is nothing wrong in what MMS said to the British. What ever bad has happened during colonialization, we can not deny we inherited a good system of democracy from them. That is what MMs said to them. But Indians are also to be complemented on this. Our leaders chose to have a democracy as opposed to theocratic dictatorship as in the neighbourhood.
Mr. Kalam, well respected by the Indian national nuclear programs and mastermind in Nuclear technology asked India to proceed with the N Deal couple weeks ago. All the politicians are knickkers and lungis compared to suit. Hell with polititians just hear what mastermind says you will be on the safe side.
I support our PM for taking this bold step of signing the deal even at the risk of the government. Salute his trustworthyness and straightforward ness. If you can sacrifice your jobs/ businesses for the sake of good thing go a head and talk otherwise just support.
RE:Mastermind Says yes! It should be yes!
by ByTheWay on Jul 10, 2008 02:16 AM Permalink
sacrificing the govt..? foolish! If he was hell bend on this deal irrespective of whether the govt will stand or fall, then he would have gone ahead with it 6 months back. Now even if he goes ahead, time may not be left for completing the formalities.
I really dont know why the hell govt is begging in front of others for uranium ...... even though we have Uranium mine in Domiasat in Meghalaya of 9500 tonnes of uranium ....which can run our 20 reactor for atleast 100 years
RE:Why the hell we are begging for Uranium ???
by ved gautam on Jul 10, 2008 05:33 AM Permalink
Why r you flying this kite without any base.there is no uranium in Meghalaya only thorium. Gappi Bhai dont mislead. v
I am glad Congress and Left have splits. Now we have communal and communist at one side against interest of the Nation. BJP has proved it can just talk about hindutva and provoke communalism and when it comes to true interest of the nation they dont care they just care for their petty gains

YEP...THATs GOOD...1st TIME EVER...THE COMMUNISTS AND BJP CAN GET TOGETHER.....FOR 55 YEARS THE CONGRESS RULE THEY HAVE HAD THE COMMUNISTS ON THEIR SIDE ..........CONGRESS ARE THE LOSERS....THEY HAVE LOST A VERY FAITHFUL ALLY....
Given his exemplary track record as FM during 1991 onwards which bailed us out of a deep crisis and impeccable honestly amongst such a corrupt lot, I fully trust whatever he is doing is good for the country. Remember how the left opposed the induction of computers in the 80s and 90s , that and many such unfortunate incidents later must have proven their blatant obstructionist opportunist attitude by now. Infact, among the current crop of virulent ministers, Manmohan stands out because of all of his stellar qualities. Left by opposing him are only making a fool of themselves.

toppling of bihar govt and impose president rule after the election - for which president kalam is on record - was to resign... was also his act of vilance - and as told by the supreme court - gross violation of constitution - was also his act... Toppling of Chattisgarh and goa govt with the same token was also his act of constitution violence. Don't be fool - PM is being used. During 1991 he had the freedom to act - right now he is the slave of Sonia... the 1991 FM would never do that to Bihar, Goa and Zarkhand. But he did. Why? Don't be blind. You have to assess each incident with open eyes.
HIS THIS ACT is alos gross violation of constitution - he can not take any major political decision - while in minority - left has pulled out - this is also a violation of constitution. A minority govt can not make any international treaty - when his govt is being toppled for the same reason.
And if you PM is so honest why is he afraid to share with opposition the exact text - that he shared and signed with foreigners?

Acc to the IAEA rules, only the govt has access to the document. If the left so badly wanted it why didn't they join the govt. ?? isn't it hypocrisy .. they don't exercise the option to evaluate the paper and then cry wolf about not being shown the document !!

First of all, its easy to make wild allegation that somebody said something. Prove it, if u can that is ! Secondly, who else do u think built the railways and all the remaining rudimentary infrastructure that have been rotting away ever since the brits left.

Lets make this straight -Left hasn't done anything all of a sudden. Even though I dont like then even 1%, but I believe that they are the one party which keeps their pricinples/word may how foolish, outdated they are. They have made no secrets of the fact that they will not allow this nuclear deal to go through with their support and they stand by that. And dont be foolish by reading too much into the latest developments - it is just a exit plan worked out between cong and left, way before. Both these outfits cant face voters in the elections WB and Ker as allies. So before the elections they had to get seperated and this was the best political medicine they had.

look at the way they parted !! a PM in a foreign soil who doesnt know if he still is the head of state !! .. even if it were planned that u allege, it surely work out the way they wanted
RE:I trust Manmohan
by ByTheWay on Jul 10, 2008 02:20 AM Permalink
No ! you got this wrong. Even if left withdrew the support there is no threat to PM for 6 months. Because our very own 'president' will facilitate the time some way or other. And if nothing works , still he will be the head of the state as a care taker. So he had nothing to lose - got it ?
RE:RE:RE:I trust Manmohan

And also Left had warned the govt that if they are going ahead for G-8 [PM had said that he will go to G-8 only if he is given free hand to go ahead with the N deal] then they will withdraw support. So its foolish to get sentimental to think that left dumped him while on foreign soil - dont say he wasnt warned!

All BJP wants is correction to few clauses to hyde 123 act. Where indian nuclear facilities will be tried with US laws. And takes away the independance of sovereignity of the country...
I moan for the childish act!! WE found a traitor! Are we not a democratic sovereign republic? Who is behind the sudden move in the IAEA? I wish the next government should initiate a Parliamentary enquiry and bring out the individuals involved in this high-handed act. This is the final result if we choose Harward elites in key positions. This should be lesson for leaders of India. Never hand over the reign to the unpredictable. They damaged the whole system. Just like a garland in monkey's hand.
