We care about martyrs if they happen to be related to a politician. Many roads and chowks are named after some ABC (even their names are not worth remembering!), who is classified as a martyr and freedom fighter, only because his son the local corporator or MLA wants it. Sam or Kargil heroes mean nothing to our babus or netas. Our babus would not mind sacrificing soldiers at Siachen, by sending them substandard combat gear or supplies.
can we expect on official reaction from our President on who she feels and what she can do to ensure that this stupidity is not gonna happen again!!! to my knowledge the chiefs of all the services are supposed to report to her!!!

Veerapa Moily, the Cong spokesperson condemned the Left for withdrawing the support when the nation was mourning.
That, my dear friend, is the best the politicians could do. They remembered the tragic event & used it as an excuse against their rivals.
What more do you want?
When India's field marshall died, there was no official presence because someone forgot to write protocols for those people. Do you think these martyrs will get any better treatment?
are you serious, do you need more? Then we need to pay attention to whom we are electing. Let us not push all the blame on the politicians, we deserve some for sending them to power
If anyone from Veerapa Moily constiuency is reading this - he has ashamed India twice in the last 3 weeks - stating that the govt has done all it could do for Sam Bahadur & invoking the Kabul bombing for criticizing left's withdrawal of support.

let it reach the President of India atleast, let her read these lovely messages and react
Politicians may have their reasons. They always do. Maybe, there are issues like protocol. Maybe, this is one way in which 'civil India' shows the armed forces its place. Maybe, this is why we are not as militaristic as Pakistan. Maybe, the knees are just too old to climb the hills. But what about the armed forces itself? o A K Antony: the defence minister 'now behaving like the chairman of the confederation of the armed forces' trade unions: absent 'due to prior political engagements'. o The chief of army staff: absent (away in Russia) o The chief of navy staff: absent o The chief of air staff: absent The fact that the defence minister was represented by his deputy Pallam Raju, the fact that the navy and air staff sent two-star general rank officers, shows that however high or mighty, however rich or powerful, civilian or military, if you should die as you must, you should do so somewhere in the vicinity of New Delhi -- or Bombay. Or else, they must have some use for you. Or else, too bad. As he rightly surmised once: 'I wonder whether those of our political masters who have been put in charge of the defence of the country can distinguish a mortar from a motor; a gun from a howitzer; a guerrilla from a gorilla -- although a great many of them in the past have resembled the latter.'
Besides the examples given in the article, just recall the mess Govt created with none less than Late Field Marshal. If such shameful mess can take place for a topmost one,how one can be sure of a jawan, unfortunately getting killed,on the field/duty.
i am really wondering whom i should be looking to vote this year or next year, when i see so many monkeys standing for elections.... look at their obnoxious face, their rude attitude, their indifference, their lusty money instincts and dont know what bloody adjectives i should use... is this democracy???? God knows.... can i expect any reasonable response???? heaven knows. We are talking of martyrs, my empathies, sympathies for their families... there is unfortunately no one reasonable here in India to think of them, except insignificant people(comman man) like me...
