paying homage to our martyrs.
by vijay srinivas on Jul 10, 2008 01:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Our politicians are totally indifferent towards to citizens and people who die for our country. It is totally an of act of shame that they dont have time for our martyrs but have time to pay respects to politicians who have died many years back, whether it is prime minister or any top politicians.
We only learn from our own mistakes rather than others. Such people are condemned to repeat history. There is a need to make this as a movement.

Vijay.

In this respect I have due respect for the way the Amenricans treat their soldiers! We may have got independence some 60yrs back, but in the way we have forgotten what patriotism is.
'I am an Indian' would have meant a lot for an individual during the early early 20th century. but now its a tag associated with high economy, malls, IT, BPO and everything else other than patriotism and love for the martyrs.
We do read some lakhs of Rs being given to the family of the mrtyrs but ground reality is only 40% reaches them. When one gives life for the country it is the responsibilty of the government to take care of their family. But it all in the books and papers.
It time we realize that and give much importance to this, as soon there will be time when no mother will agree to send their siblings to the defence. Nor anyone will ever to a bravery act and keep his life in danger to commit a humanitarian act! Its time we do something before its too late!

Give me a break. American politicians are no better. Bush went for an unwarranted war because of which many Americans lost their life. Bush-men are in other countries only for the benefit of their close circle. Stop being a stooge.

YES, When a question like this is asked, 100% of we \\\"stupid Indians\\\" will haul and say \\\"Oh, this politicians are sooooooo bad and they are never doing fair play neither in politics nor in other public life\\\". But frankly you try to find an answer for \\\"why even the politicians with the very worst track record are getting re-elected even repeatedly?\\\". We can only speak great dialogs, but unable to act accordingly since the collective power of the citizenship is cleverly broken and shattered by the political hierarchies.

Shame on us
by Vasagar on Jul 10, 2008 01:15 PM  Permalink

It is really sad to know this type of pathatic response from our politicians. All should be thrown in the Deep arabian sea. These peoples are only behind money and power and prostitues and they go any extend to do that even they will exchange their wifes too. What a shame. Only we are fools to elect them as our representatives.Having great sensitivity towards our nation we have been labelled as Fools. God save my nation. As Mr. Don has mentioned if it is a news of Mr Sha Rukh khan or other bollywood cine news then there might thousands of messages have filled in a matter of seconds. God where we are heading towards....

Very Sad
by prashant shankavaram on Jul 10, 2008 01:13 PM  Permalink

It is very sad to see this happening. Powers that are to be are busy protecting their powers.Atleast our External Affairs Minister and Defency Minister should have been to show solidarity with his own ministry personnel. It is quite unbecoming of these ministers. They do not show up at these occassions where their presence sent a message to families and the ministry personnel not to get demoralised. But these ministers are so immoral that we cannot expect anything more from them.
Our condolences are with the families who have sacrified themselves in the line of duty. We Indians, People of India (Excluding Ministers and other MPS who are useless) are always with those familiies .
