Companies like Global IT, Inc., Techorbit Inc., Primus Global Inc., Infinte COmputer Solutions, Info Experts, Saicoc Inc., Corpus, Infovision and many more from Dallas are few of the companies that are involved in such activities. They bring L1s and other consultants and refrain from paying the bench money and other basic needs when the poor consultants land here in US. The problem is these companies so called IT consulting Companies do not even have any projects in hand. Once the consultants land in US, they are made to wait for atleast 3-4 months and some cases even more to search for jobs. In some cases where the consultant does not get a job he is on the bench for almost 7-8 months.
POOR CONSULTANTS. DOJ should look into such companies. Work force commission shouls take a note of this.

Plz add all the new jersey based consultants as well.There are many such companies in New jersey.1.Vaktech.2.Birla soft.3.Info tech.SRGAmerica and many more..Guys be aware of them.

There are good and bad consulting companies. You have to pick the good ones.
Anyways, who asked you to work for desi consulting companies? Why don't you get a full-time job with an american company? The reason is you are unfit to find a sponsor. And blame consulting companies for retaining some portion of the hourly rate for bringing you to US. Or why don't you work for TCS, Wipro, Patni, Infosys they will not do any green cards and will not keep you in the U.S. for ever. These companies would send you to U.S., U.K., Australia, Singapore, Korea etc. for shorter periods and you cannot make a decision where you want to settle.
There are consulting companies that pay at par with or even more than these big firms and also start green card processing at your wish. You have control better control over your life.
As I said earlier, there are both good and bad consulting firms and they are like mushrooms. You just need to research, talk to people and find the reliable ones. The reason you hate them is you don't want to give them any margin and work for free. Noone works for free in this world, you should understand that. Only incapable people keep whining.

Its true and 100% currect. They just take the advantage of the status and hold the money they worked and keep hold of the consultant.
Consultant will be treated good until he join the firm. once he joined his problmes will started. and sleepless nights.

Well I agree many desi companies use their H1b as a bargaining tool to keep employees. But pray tell me idiot, why did you go to them in the first place? If you were that good, you should have gone through a proper American or Indian company.
