Mr. sahadevan,
Have you taken the toll to read the draft agreement at least once before commenting on it. Pls dont swallow what you are taught in party classes or thru Deshabhimani. Can you point out the difference between the Chinese 123 with US and Indian 123 with US? We Indians (not Chinese) trust Manmohan Singh, MR Narayanan, Kapil Sibal, Abdul Kalam more than Karat and Yechury. Frankly, how many of your politburo members can read and understand the agreement.

Support. Not at the cost of soverignity. Only good thing about the deal is we will get the valuable technology.Otherwise 5% contribution at the end of say 2020 is a big price. We do'nt want to give an oppurtunity to US to attack India with help of Pakis who are already proven allies to corrupt US leaders.

ALso in the process, we can work towards more money coming into the economy, and will be able to do more research with those money and come out with new technology ourselves, which will further improve our country.

Also in the mean time, our scientists can work on the Thorium based fast breeder reactors. Once we achieve a big tech break through and have couple of those reactors built, then we can , if wanted come out of the treaty and be the boss of our destiny. No more butt kissing. But till then, we need to work on what is the need of the moment. Energy security , more foreign inflows etc etc.

In 10 yrs India will be among the super economies and the Left will still be bashing the then government. Only this time, it will not haev even one seat in any state.

These Leftists and Mr ChinaMan (Prakash Karat)should be kicked out of the country...they must first realise that no ideology is above the interests of the Nation. Anyhow, they will cease to exist very soon...the panachayat/zilla parishad elections in bengal have already proved that the trends are reversing in even Bengal, their so-called stronghold

Hello Mr (Ir)Rationalist, Do you even know anything about the Segregation of Civilian and Military nuclear establishment is part of the deal? I think now. Because you are barking Non-Sense. This deal will have no impact on our nucelar arsenal. It will only slow down the number of nukes we can produce in a year. that is because, by segregating the Military reactors from civil , military will not be able to enrich the plutonium coming out of civilian reactors. Otherwise nothing has changed. We may not be able to explode another nuke. But does it matter. In today's scenario, India will never go ahead with another nuke test. We did two and barely escaped with serious threat to our economy. In todays inflation state and economy, we cannot afford another sanction. So going for the deal will only benefit us and nothing else. We will get fuel for our reactors, new reactors , more energy need will be solved.

Well said Suresh !...what you have said is exactly the truth....this 123 agreement is neither going to affect our nuclear weapons programme nor our Indigenous 3-stage nuclear programme, at the end of which we will not even need to import Uranium from other countries...By 2020 we will be able to use our own reserves of Thorium to produce nuclear energy...but we dnt have the technologu to do that yet...till then we will have to depend on the NSG to supply Uranium to use....
And this deal is no way going to affect our defense strategies...its only a story made up by the Left

The entire text of the the deal must be made open and clear to all Indians.

In case this deal is also like Enron who must be held responsible ? Left ? Right ? The leaders from USA won't be responsible ?

In light of globalisation a new protocol needs to be developed on responsibility of big national projects like this.

We must have some country or corporate responsible and liable if the deal is not in interest of our country.

Politicians - let them be from any party, take advantage of hapless people in this country who really have no say in their nations interests. They even don't have time apart from running out to find food for their own family.
