LEFT FRONT SUPPORT TO CONGRESS
by dinkar shetty on Jul 09, 2008 01:53 PM  Permalink

WHEN JYOTHI BASU SUGGESTED TO GO SLOW ON THE MOVE TO WITHDRAW SUPPORT TO CONGRESS, PRAKASH KARAT ARGUED THAT THE DECISION WHAT IS BEING TAKEN TO WITHDRAW SUPPORT IS BASED ON THE PRINCIPLE WHICH IS CONSISTANT. COMMUNAL PARTIES TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PRESENT POSITION IS ANOTHER MATTER. THIS KIND OF APPROACH BY PRAKASH KARAT SHOWS LACK OF ADAPTABILITY WHERE IT IS NEEDED TO SAVE THE NATION. IN FACT JYOTHI BASU SHOULD HAVE MORE CONSERVATIVE NORMALLY WE CALL FOR OLD PEOPLE. BUT IN THIS CASE, IT IS REVERSE, ONE WHO IS YOUNG AND ENERGETIC IS TOO CONSERVATE WHEREAS A PERSON OF 95 YEARS FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO THE NEED OF THE HOUR!

by DUNICHAND AHUJA on Jul 09, 2008 01:52 PM  Permalink

There is serious need for change in political rules. To fullfill their ill wishes parties gives support and only due to curruption in one way of other parties withdraw supports. In fact no body should so easily allowed to withdraw and such blackmailing is not the interest of country.

What is going to happen?
by Sudip Bhattacharjee on Jul 09, 2008 01:52 PM  Permalink

I am wondering what is going to happen in next election? Congress and its allies will have one coalition, BJP and its allies will have another coalition and the Left and its allies will have the third coalition. But none of these coalitions will have majority. So who is going to form the government? Or there will be another election and then another and then another....haha! what a ridiculous situation.

by rajeev tiwari on Jul 09, 2008 01:49 PM  Permalink

it was inevitable ! nothing surprising but now onwards the country will see a different set of equations where CONGRESS/SP WILL FORM ONE COALITION AND BJP ANOTHER WHILE LEFT MAY JOIN HANDS WITH MAYAWATI TO MAKE HER NEXT P.M.(PROBABLE) ONCE THERE IS NO CONFIDENCE MOTION AGAINST CURRENT GOVT AS DEMANDED BY BJP

Left withdraws support
by Pradeep Bhandari on Jul 09, 2008 01:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

All secular party including Congress and majority of newspaper raise their voices aganist USA. Even Late Rajiv Gandhi has gone to Iran in a UN approved war against Iraq for invasioning Kuwait to appease Muslim and Indian Muslim in particular.

The Left should have withdrawn the support long back when Prime Minsiter has agreed to deal with USA on nuclear energy pact.
