The sensex is up by 615 because it is the US FIIs who are excited that at last some goat (Indians) has fallen in their trap, and for some time at least their outdated technology would have a steady buyer.

They are NOT against the deal but against the way it is currently negotiated. And as far as MPS like Munawwar Hasan goes, they have proved time and again that Religious fundamentalism and voodoo politics stands before National Interests..

Congress, with 145/545 seats had grabbed power by taking help of their enemies like left (now being replaced by SP, another bigger enemy), DMK, Sharad Pawar etc.
Not because the MPs are against USA, but the way the actual text has been deemed as classified, thats why. Still am not able to digest the UPAs claim that the entire text cannot be shared in public. The entire nation HAS to know whats in it. All said and done, we have to pay for it. We people have to live with it if it gets formalised. We are not the politicians who would walk away after every 5 years from the seat of power and who would have gained immensely (kickbacks and bribes !!!) by signing on a piece of paper.
Coming to think of it, even if the UPA tows the current line, the matter has to be cleared by the US parliament ....well, why should the entire US senate members know each and every aspect of the deal and the actual enduser ie. us INDIANS not allowed to know the facts. Whats wrong with this Pranab Mukherjee?

Excellent point. In fact a number of Muslim countries besides Pakistan, such as Saudi Arabia, continue to support the US and contribute heavily to its business. Why should India sacrifice its interest just so that the US does not make a few pennies more?
It's really foolish as the partymen of SamajwadiParty needs to strike when the iron is red hot and this is a good opportunity for the SP to improve upon its performance in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.These partymen are paying the way for the BJP who has no Prime Ministerial candidate.

Manu I do agree with your view that BJP has no PM candidate because they did not have popular persons having foreign origin or born to a Indian-Foreign couple.
