absolutely right...........

There are people in this country(commies/knickerwalas) who shout from roof tops abt their patriotism. but when the time comes to show it, they do things that will help China.

Patriotism is the last refuge of sco..drels!! Who cares if it is China or US we lean to, it must help me & my party come to power. & for the commies.. it is progress they are opposed to.They destroyed West Bengal & now want to finish off the nation.

Tigerman you are utterly confused.BJP never supported China; the communists support China because they take their inspiration from them. Congress ruled this country for 50 years and is responsible for all our perils.

Hello Dear!

Third World is After Capitalist USA and Communist Russia.

Whats wrong with it ?

GDP depends on Consumption. And Sovereignity depends on Indigenous production capabilities.

Merely Liberalising or 'Living Together' Relationships Won't Make any one 'grow'.

Good Reply.
I think it all is happening on demand of European Union and Sonia Gandhi is also helping them by this deal.
Why shouldn't we make nuclear bomb when every county is making?
Why US will sell nuclear fuel to us?
Are we going to "GULAM" again?

G8 Backs Nuke deal with US - Whether PM would press for it now?
by jamsheed abumohammed on Jul 09, 2008 05:52 PM  Permalink

The Manmohan Singh Govt was reduced to minority today with the withdrawal of support by Left Parties over Nuke Deal. Now the constitutional morality calls upon the Govt to first win the trust vote before moving to IAEA for approval. SP and others have marched to the President to express their solidarity with the UPA Govt. Time alone would tell whether this Govt would stand the test of trust vote in the Parliament. Sooner they do is better. An astute leadership calls upon the PM to resign before the trust vote is taken. But political compulsion in the present conditions may force PM to go through the process and come out successfully. Later he may encounter much of the bargaining by the smaller parties. This hotch-potch Govt would last for how long. The time is short and only a few months left for it to complete the term. It is not necessary that they should complete the term in such a fashion to become a mockery. Left is all out to press for President rule and early election as they would not like the Govt to move further with the Deal which according to them is not good to the country and it is a complete sell out becoming subservient to the US. This was not acceptable to the Left and they will at any cost prevent Manmohan Govt from signing the deal. Though Balthackery supported the deal, his son Uday categorically announced that he would go with NDA and vote against the Govt. Left going with the BJP in vote down the Govt would not be welcomed by the people.Challenges ahead.

are we good citizens ?
by Yogesh Gulaty on Jul 09, 2008 05:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am seeing so many comments on the rediff and other websites regarding the deal and also the other deals.
we are a democratic country and 4 years back we have chosen our representatives to rule for 5 years. let them decide what is good for country or not and if we feel what they are doing is wrong - next time vote for some other party which has got different agenda.
moreover deal / business works on the fundamentals of give and take . if we are getting something we have to give something also. MMS is doing good job let him carry on and next year when elections are held we should judge him / his partyon various parameters and vote. isnt it so simple.

How does that matter? Leadership has nothing to do with college education. He continues to be a good babu & has not learned the leadership qualities even after being in chair for over 4 years. He conveys an impression of a person babbling rather than speaking & hardly looking straight in the eyes, all indicators of a confused & meek personality.

Dear Friends, I can never imagine congress taking such a bold step. ofcourse with the blessing of Mulayam, this all drama is happening, think of the early days when left opposed the talk on the nuke deal and congress took the back seat.

I dont trust you congress.

Not only the left, but did the BJP support it? Did the Congress have the numbers...No...the Congress did the right thing at that time to protect it's interests. It's selfish, but any other ruling party would do the exact same thing...
