is there any possisbility?
by mumbai on Jul 09, 2008 01:03 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

i am really concerned what will be the final happenings. After all this toil and trouble when mms goes to bush and talk about the deal and at the time of signing the deal Bush may give one big banana, citing the reason thathis national interests may be affected. Anything may happen. I sense this.

Good luck!

Why did the govt wait for so long to arrive at a consensus on such an important issue as the n-deal?

Mr Bush heads the state - he doesn't own it. So now it much depends on how much clout he can wield in getting the deal through back home.

If it doesn't happen, then the our ruling party can be sure of losing both - Delhi and the n-Deal for now.

nuclear deal for us
by santanu bardhan on Jul 09, 2008 12:24 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

i dont think that what is there in the deal
is not known to 90% of indian.so its good for the
ministers in parliment to say it openly in
an easy language about what is there in the deal
to public and then take a opinion of them.
then react.
my personal opinion is to sign it for 2-5yrs
and then see the good and bad effect on
india and then prossed futher.instead of giving
every thing for ever to any foreign country.

Boss : Ppl may have different opinion abt the deal, few will favour and few may not, and if the decision is left on common ppl, then it will go into the endless loop...

Abt ur personel opinion, to sign it for 2-5 years : to install such plant itself takes a decades time, and after that we will see the results..

RE:Those who were in power at that time sold India to British East India without caring about future consequences.

Whatever you say in this discussion board ,most of time you expose others opinion not yourself. If some one ask what do you know about Dr.Mms (PM)? Answer will be null . He is not that kind of person who will sell out our benefits and self-esteem to America. He has already shown his capability ( When he was FM ).
If Someone evalute Dr.Mms honestly ,he is the very intellegent and honest PM till now ever india has given. So whenever you say something about anybody think two times and always expose your opinion not borrowed .

Bush and Manmohan bonhomie

Manmohan Singh has lost it. Afterall company you keep is reflected in your decisions and utterings. Who are we fooling by going ahead with this deal? Has USA ever done anything that benefits anyone else other than itself? UPA needs to be severely castigated for this decision

Has India done anything except for its own benefit? All nations work only on the basis of self-interest.

However, I believe that the U.S. has benefited the world in two ways in the 20th century. At enormous human and material cost, it helped to defeat the two scourges of Nazism and Communism. In this century, it will win against terrorism.

Well, India has cut off her right arm to form a whole new nation. What is it if not the generosity and respect for the Mahatma?

On the other hand USA wouldn't do a thing for anybody without asking "What's in it for us?"

In this case, India is ready for the n-deal solely because it is important to her at this juncture.

Nuclear Issue
by Sukhdev Batish on Jul 09, 2008 12:17 PM  Permalink

Come on BJP you must help PM to clinch the deal especially as your party believes in the nuclear deal but is opposing it only for politcal rivalry. You are a patriot party and you must throw you wight with the deal as it is in the national interest. You will if you do this courageous act gain popularity and votes as the deal is in our national interest.

We Indians can understand the Pain of you communist , JO KI GAA..ND TAK KA DAMM LGA KR BHI IS DEAL KO NAHI ROK PAAYE < AUR AB APNA SA MUH LE KR BAITHE HAI & They will be worst affected in the coming elections , even in their home states : West Bangal & Kerla. Because educated public knows that these left front was running the govt. from back-door & they didnt withdraw their support on question of increasing inflation , which suffers common public & now withdrawing support on question of Nuclear deal, which is supported , even by our Respected ex-President APJ Abdul Kalam. Its true that 99% Indians doesnt understand this deal & may not trust these Politicians , who can even sell their mother for money , but 99% Indians Trusts APJ Abdul Kalam.. Thats only thing I've to say...
