If Current Indian Govt. thinks that nuclear deal is in favor of India, then they should make all details of deal public. By hiding the text of nuclear deal Indian govt. is clearly hiding some points which may be against India. Now it seems pretty clear that some vested interests are getting benefits once deal is complete.

First get educated to protocols regarding international treaties. It demands only the final text that is put out in the public domain. Once the agreement is signed, you will be able to access on the net.

well said All Right..these people get carried away by such funny propagandas..how about them telling us about their Bank details...yeah the Banker knows it..so whats the problem if we all know it..lol
The present congress government is not sharing the full text of the contract with US itself is a clean and fool proof evidence of cheating the public of India. Let us not forget that every member sitting in the parliament whether he is with the ruling team or opposition, they are elected by the citizens of India and denying the full text to them is a direct denial to the citizen. This Bast** congress is repeating the most known dark age of Indian democracy (Indira's imposition of Emergency)

Full Text of International treaties are never revealed before they are signed. The main contents are revealed.
There is only one meaningful question in this whole tamasha: what happens if India were to conduct a nuclear test? - The answer is US will not immediately exercise its right to return the materials and the technology. We also have the option of continuing to get our nuclear fuel supply and technology from other sources. That is the beauty of this deal. Besides India's military reactor needs for weapons can be fulfilled by the domestic supply of uranium itself. It indirectly provides a 'nuclear weapons power' status to the country though it might not be explicity spelt out in the safeguards agreement as we have not signed any international treaties like the NPT. That is why the non-profileration lobby and NPT hawks are very unhappy with this deal. Bush administration has given us a way out of the NPT & CTBT lockjam although it may have its own strategic reasons. We need to grab the opportunity. Still the deal has a long way to go to become fully operational...
But the deal has unnessarily wasted a lot of public time and newsprint because of the strong anti-american (or is it anti-indian?) posturing of the left parties.
It's ridiculous that the text of IAEA cannot be shared with the people of this country. Who gave the elected this right to hide things from the people? George Bush lied to his people and launched a war against Iraq to satisfy a private agenda killing a million people in the process. Politicians have taken upon themselves the right to hide information (under the garb of national security and what not) from people who elect them to power. This unfortunate trend has to stop.

do u want the govt to share whatever raw and ib has..there are certain things demanded by protocol not to be made public..because in international fora discussions may lead to amendments in the draft itself as a result of negotiations..plz understand thukda
Things to be discussed in parliament are being discussed on News channel and Political Parties headquarters. Does democracy works like that?
Congress party is to be blamed in this case as it is segregating this issue into a political line. They should have discussed it in parliament and let it pass there.
No matter whether the party is communal or non communal , left or right, every Indian political party should be given an opportunity to discuss it. If the bill requires changes than it should have been done there. Now Congress party thinks it can sign the bill on its own and take all the credit to itself.
Shame to democratic parties of India for discusing the matter into media and not in Parliament.

never in the history of the parliament has been an international treaty discussed or passed in the parliament.
First of all India should have abstained from IAEA vote like Russia and China and not voting against friendly nation i.e. IRAN. Secondly, India should not have given access to UN (read US) monitoring agency IAEA to poke their nose into Indias Nuclear activities (no matter civil or defence). Thirdly, India should not have gone so desperate to clear the Nuclear deal which will ultimately cap its Nuclear ambitions (because the agreement with IAEA is still not clear).
