He may be propelled by Sonia in his PM period, but as a PM on Indo-US Nuclear deal, his views are clear and having vision. A day in future, the history will praise him for this move.
.....a drastic good change of india's image in World scene is awaiting...as many countries are eyeing on India in this time over Nuke deal.....we indians should proud of it.

Forgot Dabhol Project so soon? Who knows what terms are laid in it? May be US wants India to be its slave for forty years or in case of termination of agreement interim, All Indians should serve US for free or hand over all our nuclear capabilities to the US! It is highly dangerous to enter into any agreement without understanding the longterm consequences. Not that I am a commie or commie-sympathiser (that would not be even the last thing I would do). But I am not inclined to blindly trust the US either!

its a 30 Billion USD deal...and the GDP of US is 7.3 trillion USD...u must be out of ur basic wits to think that US needs 30 Billion US to boost their economy.

It is more of a strategic alliance which is needed.they want Polar formation of countries with whom they can be friends...and with whom they cannot be.

Thru N-Deal there will be US$ 260Bn worth Contracts as per present estimates.

And GDP of USA, AND FOREX are different Things.

When in 1991, India exhausted its Forex, Indians had not stopped buying everything. Life was Normal. Only the RBI and others concerned knew that they cannot do biz with the Rest of the World.

USD 30Bn of Forex is a Huge Amount. And The Resultant Jobs Created make a Lot of Difference.

Full text of IAEA agreement!!
by anand kondaguli on Jul 08, 2008 05:24 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Some times its difficult to imagine to what an extent our politicians could be idiotic!!,
I quote what Mr.Pranab said in above article,"In his letter, Mukherjee said those wanting the full text of the safeguards agreement would have had to join the government to have access to it".
Now the point is how can the responsible minister make such an absurd statement? Including the left, all the parties and the MP's have the right to know the contents of IAEA agreement. We can understand that for perticular reason, general public may need not need to know the contents.

yes agreed with lakshmanan...the problem in India is we have very lil inormation and everyone wants to take a decision..in the process no decision is arrived at...even Media, common Man,industialists, crickets ,filmstars. etc etc.
No need lets just keep on doing our job and let one person at the helm take a wise decision...se not all can run a country..but only one person or one authority can run a country.
we shud be doing our jobs of selecting right party and right candidate at the helm...so that we can right leaders leading us...thats all.
we dont do that but we want to do rest all other things other than doing what we have to do.

Confidential ????
by TheOneAndOnly on Jul 08, 2008 05:22 PM  Permalink

IAEA would Inspect All our Nuclear Facilities And Socalled Safegaurd them(from WHOM?).

But the Deal Should Not be Disclosed to the People of Democratic India ?

Anyway, Representatives of All The Countries will know it when it comes for Discussions before IAEA, Before It is APPROVED.

SO, WHY SECRECY ?

This Confidentiality from People of India is a VERY WRONG PROTOCOL. AND SHOULD NOT ALLOWED.

All Self Respecting And Patriotic Indians must Unite And Stop this Deal Thru Toppling this Govt by the Agents of Italy & World Bank.
