Looks like most people in this forum are taking that deal is in national interest. The deal is in the interest of america and not India.IF you think India will be full of lights after the deal think again, the nuclear energy will meet only less than 10% of our needs. But we effectively give ourselves to US in that matter. Just think, IF SOMEONE TOLD YOU, I WOULD GIVE YOU ELECTRICITY AT HOME ONLY TO MEET 10% OF YOUR NEEDS, BUT YOU HAVE TO DO WHAT I SAY, MY ENEMY WILL BE YOUR ENEMY, YOU WILL HAVE TO TOE MY LINE ON VARIOUS ISSUES AND IN SHORT YOU WILL HAVE TO DANCE TO MY TUNES................Will you accept this???????? This is what you get wuth the deal, may be unwritten but clearly implied..
BJP supporters in rediff, mostly pizza delivery boys in US,are supporters of nuclear deal, except for the BJP leaders, who were the original beggars of the deal.
These PIZZA delivery boys or walmart shelf fillers in US are so indebted to US that they refuse to see the long term interests of India.
And they would like it anytime of the day to do muslim-bashing. Ordinary Muslims can never do anything right. He is criticised for whatever he does. Poor ordinary educated muslims seem to hvae resigned to their miserable fate. What a pity.

Mr Deshmukh, your remarks show you in a very poor light. It is Madarasi Abdul kalam who changed the minds of your Mulayam yadav and Amar Singh. Dont make foolish comments.
Left is a seperate political party and has seperate agenda for its own interest. Amalgating with India's interest is simply an eyewash. Ideology, principle, etc. are excuse. Party's interest is the last word.
How being slaves to US will be in the interests of India is anybody's guess.
The nuclear deal, only christians can rejoice cos it takes India closer to US, but HINDUS????
US will charm India to take the deal and run the nation on the nuclear energy. Once it is done, they will start turning the screws. you cannot do this, you cannot do that, you can do only what we (US) say........And all hindus will be slaves of America, just doing what America wants you to do...NRI's who are supporting the deal (so US and INdia can come closer) do not understand how dangerous this trap is..Once you get in THERE IS NO WAY OUT...YOU ARE TRAPPED FOR EVER.

Hi guys... any country that alinged with NATO (read US) is a developed country. Ohters who aligned with the soviets.. where are they. It is better to align with the successful rather than be amongst the masses without class.

Ravi - that is true in so far as you have a white skin. The US has tossed aside other allies who were no longer useful. The Soviet Union and Cuba had sacrificed their own interests to help colonised countries.

May be you are a partiotic Indian, but from your tone, I guess you are also a Hindu. I don't intend to use your religious faith derogatorily. Let me remind you that that seeds of this deal were sown by the BJP (which along with the VHP, RSS, and other such groups) which claim exclusive ownership of the Hindu voting public. Do you mean to say that the BJP acted treacherously? Betrayed their vote bank? Sold their country? If that's so, then go ahead and hang them, the whole lot. Why is there no outcry against the BJP for promoting a slavish deal? Wasn't it the NDA, advised by Brajesh Mishra, which forged a strategic relationship with the US?
This is not an issue of clash of religions; it's an issue that has culminated in the present deal based on a natural process of political dialogue in the national interest. I am sure had the BJP been the party at the center, most of you 'so called Hindus fearing eternal slavery' would have welcomed it with open arms (and legs?); the Muslims would have protested across the country; and the communists would still have protested because they are anti-India anyway.
So stop crying about Hindus being enslaved by such a deal; there are INDIANS of other faiths as well. You don't ever claim a right on the country. It belongs to all Indians, irrespective of faith.
