Totally agreed!! But should that not be done to the BJP leaders too? Even they have not supported the deal. Should all the leaders and parties who are opposing the deal be packed off to China??? If China agrees to take them, we will not need any nuclear weapons for Chaina at least. They would self destroy themselves.
The other point of view is if so many leaders and parties are opposing the deal is there anything really negative with the deal that Congress is missing out to the country? If so then by the same standards, the entire Congress should be packed off to China!!! Wonder what China is gonna do with them.
Of course, you will remain in India...suggest form your own party. After all politics today in any country is the best of career options!!

RED Indians

our RED Indians were afraid that US will wipe them out as they did some 200 yrs ago :) ...

Anyways, though its good that there is an end to this drama, it'd have been better if the left would've withdrawn after PM returns from the trip and not while he is on a foreign trip.

Left to pull out, to meet Prez tomorrow
by sundararajan Rajeshkumar on Jul 08, 2008 02:20 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

At last the the LEFT PARTIES has withdrawn the support to the government. THE GREAT COMRADES has now pulled the government for 1.Not Settling the border issue with China and evicting the Chinese occupation.2.Not Settling the Kashmir problem.3.Ending the insurgency in India's north east & Jharkand and Chattisgarg.4.Spiraling oil prices and containing the inflation. No NOT for these reasons ,simply against Nuclear agreement with America.Comrades are not concerned about India or Indians they are concerned about china only, so only they oppose nuclear deal and have withdrawn the support to government. The deal will give accelerated growth and benefit to India. The LEFT parties will talk about Independent foreign policy (We should under stand)that means India should not reclaim the territories occupied by China.LONG LIVE COMRADES AND BE STUMBLING BLOCK FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INDIA.

Left to withdraw support - Congress face the situation boldly
by jamsheed basha abumohammed on Jul 08, 2008 02:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Left's decision to withdraw support to the UPA led Govt at the Centre did not come as a surprise as it was on card for sometimes. Congress need not lose heart over it but should face the situation boldly as it would turn out to be a blessing in disguise. There is no immediate danger to the Govt to fall but morally it lost the confidence of the House and it should go. If Congress wishes to delay the inevitable, then it can play with the number game, garner support from SP and others, continue for sometimes. The danger here is SP may resort to some sort of blackmailing tactics in future like demanding ministerial berth for its MPs and removal of Chidambaram and Deora from the Cabinet. These demands may not be acceptable immediately to the Congress and this would lead to some other unplesant situation. The best option open to the Congress is to call it a day, tender resignation of the entire cabinet, recommend dissolution of the House, call for early general elections. This would be hailed and appreciated. This coup certainly blow against the BJP waiting in the wings eagerly to capture power. But that is not so easy as people would not like to see a communal govt at the centre.Cashing in on this mood, Congress and like minded parties should strengthen the secular front,go to the people explain the difficulties in running the Govt due to coalition compulsion. It is possible that Congress may get absolute majority in the House after the elections if announced now.It is better now.

no one is aware of the facts
by Ashish Gupta on Jul 08, 2008 02:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We all are debating but no one is aware of the facts. If PM is confident that there is nothing in the agreement which compromises with national security, then he should have declared that in the agreement there is no such clause.

At the same time Left parties should tell nation that which clause of the agreement is compromising with national security.

I feel that Manmohan singh, Chidambaram & Motek singh failed. The most important thing is inflation & poverty control. Is necular deal going to solve above problems... Answer is clear no....
