u r right. actually i read the article only because i thought that china had made such a statement. u never know. tomorrow china might say that it has never given any assurance about the deal.

correct because our culture is still moving in old way of trust , relationship and wishful thinking when the world only deals in pragamatism and self-interest.

Huh, the fact that China supports the deal is news to you ?
Not a surprise at all - most commoners react without knowing enough or caring to know enough about what they are reacting to !!
- China wants to back India at IAEA and work with NSG to facilitate the smooth passage of the 123 agreement.
The master is all willing.
But the disciple is not !!!
Left does not want this because the Left fears India's strategic tie-up with USA will weaken India ( Or, China?)
This sounds exactly like overjealous BJP supporters. While the supporters go on muslim bashing, Advani will go quietly and praise Jinnah and ask BJP to go close to Muslim.
Let's see how the Left and particularly Prakash Karat reacts to this report.
