It was BJP that stole money in soldiers' coffins ... or is it why BJP is against the nuclear deal because they would rather have those fat kickbacks should they sign the deal during their regime?

BJP or Congress - they are equally corrupt.

dude, how can BJP steal money when it was not even in power .... of course the party in power can only stael money ... why are BJP wallahs upset over not stealing money? because they did not get the mandate from people of India to steal money from them. Stealing money isn't easy ... first you have to contest elections, then win elections, then form coalitions, if you don't have enough seats ... otherwise, you just warm the opposition benches while the ruling party sucks up all the cream.

But, why are BJP wallahs so upset at not stealing money from the nation?

The muslim factor?

CIA hired 500 Indians in 1999 after the nuclear test to sabotage India's nuclear program. Most hired were evangelical fundie Indian Christians who were brain washed with daily reports that 'churches' were being burnt in India.
Many of these have been writing in this forum under Hindu and Muslim names.

We support the deal but will vote against it...........
by Shirodkar on Jul 09, 2008 07:03 AM  Permalink

Most of political parties in India with the exception of Left, are for the deal. They are only opposing it for political reasons.

This is a very sad state of affairs where in, the nations interest is being sidelined and more importance is given to petty politics. You can fight each other on all other issues, but please dont compromise on India's strategic interests.

Dont let the commies and their Chinese masters take advantage of our silly internal politics.

Prime Minister - Quit before the Trust Vote
by jamsheed abumohammed on Jul 09, 2008 06:47 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The number game has started. If UPA stick to its gun to face the trust vote,it has to depend upon the support from small and medium size parties, and also to keep its own flock together. Though Shiv Sena supported the deal, not likely to vote for UPA.Akali Dal, JMM, and other splinter groups have their own agenda and grievances. SP may also like to have its cake of share. Others may demand one thing or the other which would be very difficult for the PM to concede. This is the danger of banking on some smaller parties. They will subject the UPA to constant threat and blackmailing. What PM should ponder is for a person who is not a politician of the sort, require such support that would ultimately tarnish his image as a docile, soft spoken PM. Ultimately, without Left support, Govt may win the trust vote but how long it would continue? There will be spate of demands from the supporting parties for cabinet berths or to remove some of the non-performing or infamous cabinet ministers. All these would add to the agony of the Congress. This would directly benefit the BJP and allies for they will go to the people and say that such a group is not fit to govern the country. First they failed to control the price rise and inflation and then they tried to cling on to the power through such manipulation. The crisis would definitely soil the fair name of PM. It is therefore advisable for him to quit before the trust vote like what Azad did in Kashmir and face elections either in Oct or Nov.

N-Deal = Dhabol Project
by san man on Jul 09, 2008 05:07 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This nuclear deal is like the Dhabol Power Project, which sold power to Indians at ridiculously inflated prices. Then too, Cheney had many backroom meetings with Sonia in order to ensure the deal passed. But as soon as the next govt came in, they threw out that lousy deal, and nobody has missed it. Same thing here, Sonia is getting kickbacks from the Bush admin in exchange for sealing this deal. But likewise, when her govt is thrown out, the next govt will also throw out the N-Deal with her. US is financing and supporting Pakistan, which is orchestrating terror acts against Indians, and even against America's own troops. Our govt is interested in nothing but its own survival, and they don't care about anyone else. Let them go to hell, and let the N-Deal go with them.

Pakistan was always a US ally and India was in the Soviet camp. We got money from Soviets and Indira Gandhi was too smart ... she also got money from USA and USA forgave those loans too.

It all depends upon who your allies are and besides, Pakistan is america's b1tch on its war on terror.

worse, hundred times worse.

Dabohal project with Enron was signed in five days by MMS in 1993 in a great hurry. He is in undue haste even now with this nuclear deal.

The irony is Enron is no more. Bush is setting his dirty eyes on India- USA may soon be no more---no one escapes Karma. British empire faded away after coming to India. Alexander the great faced defeat in India. Unless USA changed herself, it will meet similar fate.

Be afraid.
