Nuke deal
by Gurumoorthy Chandrasekaran on Jul 08, 2008 08:00 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is surprising that the Left parties had not anticipated the turn around by the SP, knowing fully well they are the most unscrupulous people in politics and congress will take advantage of that! Fear of BJP coming to power made the left vacillate on the subject of withdrawal which gave enough time for SP and Congress to play the dirty game. Shame on the PM to stoop to such a level just to please President Bush. Transparency as requested by the left would have avoided all this. Don't understand why Congress were so secretive and can't understand how the Left became so dumb.

CONGRESS DID BAIL OUT THE CPM FROM THEIR ATROCITIES IN NANDIGRAM/SINGUR. IF A SIMILAR THING WAS HAPPENED IN GUJARAT (OR BJP RULED STATES), THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN ONE MILLION ENQUIRY COMMISSIONS AND SO ON.....

I really don't agree with idealogy of communist, but when it comes to nuclear deal with US, I stand by them, India has more to lose than gain from this deal, I know about these western civilization, they will not move a bit if there is nothing in it for them, india should'nt be blind sided that this western country US is helping out in meeting the energy need of India, we should still be in good relationship with Russia, and develop the nuclear power for the use of the electricity by buying the acceptance of international community leaving US out of the equation.

Communists are not against just to safeguard India's interest (they never did either), they have their own agenda. They are a bunch of cunning people who will always oppose to whatever action India govt takes. The sad thing is they will sit in the ruling chairs at any cost either with the help of Cong or BJP, and try to influence the foreign policies. No party should count them in to form the govt., only then they can be reined.

Congress has no knowledge about their alliance:

Congress worked as a goon against SP of Mulayam Singh in UP just before the Elections.
Congress removed RJD of Laloo from government in the name of lack of development.
Congress worked as a goon against NCP of Sharad Pawar, however they got more seats than Congress in Maharashtra
Congress worked as a goon against JD(S) in Karnataka and it was not ready to give anything
Congeess worked as a goon in J&K against PDP and played politics of appeasement.
CONGRESS IMPOSED ANTI-PEOPLE POLICY AGAINST INDIAN PEOPLE AND BRUTALITY AGAINST THE LEFT, HOWEVER LEFT WANTED SOME PRO-PEOPLE WORK FROM CONGRESS.

Yes, Bush is an international terrorist.

The Manmohan Singh government took advantage of a beleaguered Bush Administration - who in all fronts had been a disaster. The Bush Administration, desperate for a singular success as a legacy, gave us the best terms - terms, which is being considered by many in the Senate and Congress as a sellout of US foreign policy.

So how does it matter he is an international terrorist? He is out of office next January and those who fill in may not offer as such liberal terms.

Nations have gone to war since times immemorial, sometimes for not very good reason. However, that is not the same as terrorism.

The bsn did not come from the U.S. It came because of the NPT and, at that time,
Bush was not the President.

If you remember such things, perhaps you also remember that the U.S. helped India after the Chinese aggression in 1962. For many years, our people survived on PL-480 foodgrains which came free from the U.S. We do not seem to be very friendly to people who help us.
