Sign Deal at any cost
by South Indian on Jul 07, 2008 08:40 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Whatever happens, even if risking the govt, Congress should go ahead with the deal and sign it....

Never compromise on something which is of such importance to the nation.... Never sacrifice national interest...

Let the BJP and communists try whatever they could to topple to government or whatever... They were always like that... Never let anything good happen in this country...

there is no national interest here its all power and money... you will not see a single bulb on nuclear power for 20 years. And it would have cost the aam aadmi billions of dollars. Please read up on the details.

Hello Proud Hindustani
I have read enough on this nuc deal... this is not about any damn deal between India and USA... its about India dealing with many countries in the NSG in relation to fuel supply and technology, and we should be able to conclude similiar deals with other party's as well...

it will lead to an end to nuclear isolation (meaning we will have access to technologies and euipments).. the nuclear scientific community in India dont have access to some critical elements because of age old sanctions.. this agreement will get rid of them..

Our nuclear power plants are running short of fuel and operating below 30% of their capacity... if no fuel available, they will stop... can you give them ome?

We are working on thorium-cycle, and it will require enough uranium supplies as well.. we have abundant reserves of thorium... this is strategically important to us and to reach that goal, uranium fuel supply and access to technologies (getting rid of isolation) is important for the R&D people...

This is something very unique and no country outside the NPT ever got such a deal from the international community... this is because of Indias standing among world nations as a responsible nation with nuclear capability..

SO AT LEAST NOW, YOU SHOULD O BACK AND TAKE SOME TIME TO READ SOMETHING ON THIS!!

THESE GUYS ARE NOT FOR INDIAS WELFARE......
by Proud Hindustani on Jul 07, 2008 08:38 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

They do not have the vaguest idea how nuclear, solar, coal gsification, bio diisel technologies work.

Their ONLY interest is the KICKBACKS and sucking the blood of EVERY hard working middle class and poor aam aadmi. Its the NRIs who helped India when it had no foreign exchange reserves.

I am telling you my brothers and sistes they are robbing you and me blind.

India should have been a member of G8 and UN security council LONG time ago.

They WILL keep India as a third rate country for another 50 years.

I suppose you the energy security expert. Can you provide the comparative techno-economic feasibilty between nuclear and solar power, assuming generation capacity being the same? If not please stop posing as an expert

The deal is a step to India getting permanent UN Security Council membership

The NDA ruled for 7 years? Why they they did not ensure ndia getting permanent UN Security Council membership

Whom they are working for???
by South Indian on Jul 07, 2008 08:24 AM  Permalink

CPM maybe trying to please the masters in China (Chinese would like Indias problems to remain for ever if possible). The funny reality is China already have a similiar one (not so fine as what India is going to have) with US.

And for whom BJP is working for??? The communists? Maybe to ensure their support after next elections? Another VP Singh model????

Double Standards of Knickerwallahs

What's wrong in trying to bring down the government in a democratic way? Mahesh asks.

Nothing at all except when the Congress does the same you cry foul.

It is the double standards. Mulayam becomes a saint, a hero if had aligned with BJP to bring down the Congress and a devil when he instead aligned with the Congress

Even in Karnataka, the BJP by inducing defections is only committing suicide - bringing closer the JDS and Congress who together has 55% of the vote. What this traslates at the Lok Sabha is that the BJP will lose theot 18 seats which they currently hold.

In UP, the Mulayam, Ajit Singh & Congress alliance will mean that the battle will be between this combine and the BSP. The BJP will not open its account in the state.

In West Bengal, a Trinamool Congress-Congress alliance will not see the Left given a dubbing, but BJP reduced to a non-player in the state

In Orissa, MP, Rajasthan & Chattisgarh, the BJP/NDA governments are facing massive anti-incumbency

And this is a short list

Why BJP finally ended in communists camp????
by South Indian on Jul 07, 2008 08:00 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Maybe because they are quite identical in many aspects! Both have opposed major initiatives for Indias development in the past!

The Economic reforms (BJP & CPM opposed it)
Computer &IT (they ridiculed it)
Patent bill (BJP disowned it and opposed)
Nuc deal (BJP CPM trying to subotage it)

And in the past it was the BJP CPM alliance which made VP Singh the prime minister and brought all this economic anarchy in India!

They are bed fellows basicallY!

Amar Singh-The big Dallal
by outspoken on Jul 07, 2008 07:55 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There is nothing wrong in that as BJP is the principla opposition. Congress toppled Vajpayee govt in 1998 by weaning away Jayalalitha through Subrhmanyam Swami by arranging tea with Sonia Gandhi. Amar Singh does not have an iota of shame as he is a dallal in all things.
