deal in national interest!!!
by krishna swamy on Jul 06, 2008 05:00 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The samaj wadi party deal is claimed to have been done in So Called 'NATIONAL INTEREST' it would be interesting to know the price the congress paid to make Samajwadi party to remind them of their responsiblities towards the national interest. It is difficult to believe that the Mr. Amar singh and Mulayam singh and his 39 henchmen ( MPs) were so suddenly filled with remorse that they turned up as knights in shining armour to save the Nuclear dealfrom collapse risking their Muslim vote bank. Well we need to know what was the actual price paid. their are whispers as large amounts have changed hands along with the change of hearts. if this is trueI think the this sort political support seeking needs to be probed by a impartial judicial mechanism. it is being whispered something likes of 500 crs. have changed hands between the congress and mulayam singh and his merry men. No wonder the UNPA other constituents are hoping mad at being left out of the deal. it was interesting to note of all that Mr. Chautala praising the commies for their sacrifice in the national interest. man if this true we should resign and join politics. it is inflation-proof, prosecuetion-proof, and whatever-proof profession, insured for life.

I would say it is better in a way that the government finishes its term one way or another. This honeymoon of congress and SP will definitely end during forthcoming elections. Only time will tell whether BJP will be able to come back. As far as communists are concerned, they have only shown how unscrupulous and irresponsible they are. It would appear that following opportunism, they have long abandoned Marxism and embraced Maoism. Not that one is better than other. Both preach violence as means to the end. Both can prosper only if a majority of population stays poor and ignorant, devoid of any information. That is why you see censorship for media with people getting to hear only what party wants to tell them in china or for that matter, in west bengal.
Islam and communism will never ever co-exist as both follow similar approach to rule. Islam: Anyone believing other than Allah is kafir
Communism: Anyone believing in system other than communism is traitor.

Islam: Centralized rule through caliphate.
Communism: Centralized rule through Maoism

Islam: The Holy Quran is the only guiding force.
Communism: Principles laid down by Marx and co. are the only guiding principles.

Islam: Use of Jihad to achieve the end.
Communism: Use of violence by red cadres to perpetuate terror.

If all people behaved in singularly, then probably these are Utopian ideas. Alas, no two humans think similarly, so these ideas are bound to create more rifts.

Nuclear deal & left parties
by mahendra dattatraya dalvi on Jul 06, 2008 05:00 PM  Permalink

Left parties do not have much credibility as regards nuclear deal or for that matter any foreign policy India needs to follow.Congress is national party and it knows what is in the interest of the country. It has been in the power and framed and entered insto a many deals albeit the mistakes made in the process. Left parties especially the CPM is not to be relied upon as they have extra-national agenda. And if you are strong enough no country can tie to any conditionality. So forget about left and proceed with the deal. It is not only bilateral but help seal international treaty in case of nuclear matters and India be a part in Nuclear suppliers group as a responsible and powerful in the comity of the world nations.

Caught in their own game

These parties tried to show that they are above the rest when it comes to national interest. Now their interests are all too important. They project themseleves as caretakers of the poor but still stole land away from farmers for a capitalist. Where are their principles? They had a chance to prove to the world that they are what the Speaker of the House as always indicated in his speeches.
