Call the bluff of these Chinese stooges, anti-nationals. The PM should go ahead with his deal, if he has the guts.

Bomb blast
by Kamal on Jul 05, 2008 10:21 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

For sometime (last few days) there is no bomb-blast. Looks our Netas , intelligence agencies might be enjoying there time!

Wanted to remember them be alert. There might be something going on and it will come as surprise.

Before they come and wipeout innocents wipe out those. And follow this also -

Do not just kill terrorists, kill there sons relatives etc, let them feel the pain what Indian innocent citizens are feeling after every bomb blast.

Left should immediately withdraw, the congress will fail in the next elections.

they cant control the inflation, diverting peoples attention, lot of our natural resources were simply sold out to multinational companies and big shots and politicians were earning out of our precious resources in the name of mining contracts.

I am not an expert to comment if the deal is good or bad for the country particularly because the government is showing undue secrecy and haste in the matter. But logical reasoning leads me to conclude that the motive behind the deal is bad because we are not going to loose anything if we wait for a few more months till both countries have new governments. And I also do not understand
1) Why the deal should not be with France or Russia if it is to be treated as bilateral.
2) For the possible support of US in the multilateral negotiations with IAEA or NSG did the govt made a secret promise to buy most of the junk technology from US to dole out the selfish capitalists in the US? We are unfortunate that we do not have an Indian leader from our huge population who is acceptable to a wide cross section.

You are Right!

It is a shame that even Leftists and BJP are only making political statements but not discussing the merits and demerits of the Deal with the People.

MMS needs his name in the History Books !!!
by desikan r on Jul 05, 2008 10:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr MMS had managed to become the PM thru sheer luck and providence. After being remote controlled by his Italian Madam all these years, he's now trying to book his place under the sun. He doesnt even bother if the Govt were to fall. Unfortunately the Cong has no choice but to back him. Hence they get into these pathetic alliances with SP etc. who have no scruples.
And is there any doubt as to who would be the biggest beneficiary? Obviously only the US. Why has the US suddenly decided to supply Nuke fuel to us?? Bcoz they realised that India wudnt sign the NPT/CTBT and it is India thats grown stronger over the years. So best is to make money out of us so that they cud fund their own reactors and also enforce the NPT/CTBT restrictions on us on the sly!! It wud be surprising if the US would clear the deal without restrictions of the Hyde Act.
And MMS would be least bothered. How wud it concern him or his Madam if India cannot do a nuc test without being subjected to sanctions? And today the nuke deal has become more important to the PM than the spiralling inflation and crashing markets. And he seems to be in undue hurry too!! And a lot seems to be happenning hush-hush about the deal.
Few basic questions-
- Can Indian survive without the uranium from USA?
- How much would it cost us?
- How much would our energy situation improve?
- Do we have the processing technology or not?
- Can we conduct a nuke test if need be?
- Will the next US govt support the deal?

What so legitimate about BJP's demand. They object to the deal on the specious argument that it does not permit us to test our nuclear weapons.

The operating word is in the event of nuclear testing. Even here the agreement provides an exception - the right to test if China or Pakistan tests.

No one in the nuclear community believes any more for the need to physically test. They now test through computer simulation using past test data.

This is the reason why Vajpayee government shrewdly went for a series of explosions (5 to be precise) - to generate such a data base.

Having done that Vajpayee gave an assurance to the world through his address to the General Assembly of the UN that India no longer needs to explode any nuclear devise.

So if we are take BJP's present position seriousily, was Vajpayee and BJP in 2000 lying to the world community?

Any reason why we are so opposed to NPT and CTBT? Bcoz we do not want anyone to impose a ban on testing on us. We have a self imposed moratorium. And we know what it means. We and only we will decide if we need to conduct a nuke test or not. And what database are you talking about? The US has conducted hundreds of nuclear tests over 40-50 years. Can we even remotely compare our database to theirs? Or would they part with that data if we dont conduct any test ourselves? We wouldnt know if our computer simulations are actual , ideal probable, possible or unreal. Whom do we consult then? The US? They havent been even remotely fothcoming over the last six decades. Its not Cong or BJP, UPA or NDA. There shall be a Nuke deal and in the near future. But why the hurry and the secrecy? Isnt it something of national importance that everyone be taken into confidence? Can any compromise on any issue be struck with the US without the approval of the Parliament or the people?

Every New Technological Advancement will Mean a New System and New Variables in the Simulator.

There fore, Every Advancement in Technology will Require New Nuclear Testing.

Forced Ban on Testing is Curtailment of our Sovereignity.

USA knows 105 methods of Atom Bombs. India Knows only 3.

A more cheaper and sophisticate Method means New System for Simulation And New Tests will be Required.

It was plutonium again along with one thermo-nuclear device. The thermonuclear device or the Hydrogen bomb was only a partial success and would definitely need to be tested again to make any relevant repor/ conclusion. Would the nuke deal allow that??

The former PM's word is obviously applicable so long as there is no change in the circumstances. But what happens in the future is not something that we can be sure of in the present. What if there is a new technology that gets developed which necessitates a test? When majority of our facilities are bound by international treatises and pacts ( which ofcourse will be solely interpreted by the US) where should we go? And personally the only quality of MMS is his loyalty to Cong High command. Remember that he did not even show the minimum respect that the former PM late PV deserved on whose account he had the opportunity to be the FM and finds himself nominated as PM today. Who knows if he is letting his masters make a fortune? Why should he be so silent on the issue when he shoots his mouth of relatively simpler problems like the recent petrol price hike?

Commie-Cong marriage on rocks
by Bodh Ramdeo on Jul 05, 2008 10:07 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It's not the poor aam aadmi but the hypocritical 'Bhdralok', the so-called 'secular' intelligentia of WB who're the one's most responsible for the Communists' reign of terror in Bongland. One can forgive the poor, destitute ignoramuses for voting as they do/did, but what excuse does the best and brightest of the land have -they who should know better. But of course, they are all the same socialist hypocrites in the Arundhati Roy vein, masquerading as 'secularists', when if fact, they've all bought into the Communists' lies and propaganda as scripture - to these hypocrites, 'secular' is anti-Hindu, that's why this Roy dingbat recently went all the way to Turkey, her way of condoling a Turkish journalist was to thoroughly demonise, denigrate and insult Hindus and their institutions, especially, their ability to build, operate and maintain temples, schools, hospitals etc, in front of her 'secular' Islamic audience - only Muslims are allowed to do so, with their mosques, madrassas and OIC funded 'social' institutions.
So yes, let the stupid brainless idiots who keep voting these Commies to power pay for their stupidity- ignorance IS a crime.

enought of this nonsense of communalism and secularism. The SP and congress has entered into a deal of political oppurtunism of the highest degree. The people of the country should teach these pseudo secular forces a very nasty lesson and bring BJP to power in the next elections.

Anyways the government has been rendered helpless and incompetent in handling major issues concerning national interest like the inflation, terrorism, nuke deal etc...this government's days are numbered. this government has to goe

The Congress-SP tie up is on less or no more opportunistic than the BJP has and had in the past with secular parties whether it is Nitesh Kumar, Chandra Babu Naidu, Mamta, Mayawati etc
