SP to vote for UPA Govt
by hesarappa on Jul 06, 2008 11:03 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It seems that the Congress is being mislead by Amar Singh and his boss Mulayam Singh. The credibility of all the three viz. SP, AS and MS are very low. Even if it comes true on the floor of LS, SP would demand a "ton" of flesh in return, not a pound. Congress Beware !!! It is wiser to quit than being on support of SP. SP is no better than CPM. SP, MS and AS will together ditch Congress and Sonia. Mulayam is one who never forgets and forgives.

Why so much Drama about nuclear deal now..............
by Dhaval on Jul 06, 2008 10:59 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

A smart move to divert attention from the main issues:

11.75% record inflation badly affecting poors.

4 years of misrule and defeat in almost all recently held elections

Fear of Economic instability

Political instability

High food and oil prices

unstable stock markets

lack of people trust in government

Mismangement of public funds on trips like G8 of which India is not even member.

betrayel of promises to population

11.75% record inflation badly affecting poors.
(all most all countries have record high inflation.)
4 years of misrule and defeat in almost all recently held elections
(agree)
Fear of Economic instability
(global impact)
Political instability
(as long we not reform political legislation, we will be ruled by corrupt and selfish politics)
High food and oil prices
(why not US and other developed country contril price? price depend on the global demand and suply and other market stability and conflict)
unstable stock markets
(invest wisely. don't expect 1000% return in one year. avg return per year will be around 10-30%)
lack of people trust in government
(agree)
Mismangement of public funds on trips like G8 of which India is not even member.
(You need to risk something to get. i don't think it is waste of fund.)

Government relieved after SP support for trust vote
by Hebbar R on Jul 06, 2008 10:50 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

A note to Mr. Manish Tiwari. He need not accuse Mr. Advani of trying to create instability. Nobody needs to try to create instability when the Congress and its allies themselves are so good at it.

This UPA Govt is totally unstable and it has been so since its formation. Let Mr. Tiwari not forget the various pulls and pressures from the Congress allies and the incapability of the PM to stop this effectively.

see the karanataka state politics, bjp is already over took in worst politics. they are master in cheating people. 3 elected mla from jd(s) and congress resigned and joined bjp and they are going for poll again to get elect from bjp. where in state miss 4 mla support for majority. it is all about money, and loop hole of indian legislation. At the end of 5 years, i am sure all the bjp member will make 10-100crores in 5 years. State is already sold to mining robbers.

That does not make the UPA free of instability. The way the allies treated Congress is very well known. It reached so low that the UPA was forced to bring in a legislation just to get rid of one person from AIIMS. So no one else really has the need to bring in instability for this already instable alliance.

It will be a good punishment for the Congress if there is a trust vote and they loose it by one vote - preferably not a bogus vote. They would have been returned in the same coin that they used to topple the Vajpayee Govt. History would indeed have come a full circle.

We should not forget those who created British Empire in India were the ancestors of today's Americans who are going to do same thing. History is going to repeat once more. In movie Lagaan there was a dialogue " Gorey Apney Baap key sagey nahin hotey" Still we have not lean lesson............

India on Sale at a very cheap price by the cheap politicians
by Raj on Jul 06, 2008 10:36 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Just know how US was created. They started Fur and fishing trade with Red Indian, now whole america is theirs. Same will happen to India if they will never take lesson from history of British East India company. Those who in developing world want to be partner or friend with US always pays heavy price. Take the example of Shah of Iran, King Faisal of Saudi Arabia, Charles Taylor of Liberia, Zia-ul- Haq and Bhutto of pakistan, Anwar Sadat of Egypt, Saddam and dozen others. US record as a friend and partner is always bad. India still want to go ahead then they will regret for centuries.

US is a melting pot. First thing they will do, will destroy Hindu religion and culture and bring Evangelico revolution to India.....

What choices do we have?
a. Deal with US, get the nuclear power
b. Deal with Iran for gas, which Pak is trying to derail and move the lines to china. The lines pass through Pak anyway.
c. Get back on dreaming about self-sustaining India with limited natural resources and long turn-around times

I am sure all these have their own drawbacks. But currently looks like it is wise to depend on US than on Pak. If we can make option C work, that will be great.

As long as there is corruption nothing is going to succeed even the nuclear deal which is well planned trap by US.

Imagine 300 to 400 millions Indian living in rural areas mainly in remote villages cannot afford to pay for electricity. Will it change anything for them.....Only wealthy Indians and US which will make billions will be the real beneficiaries of this deal. Cost of clean of nuclear radiations will be unimaginable. Cancer will be going to be number one killer as poor health system cannot protect population from nuclear waste..........
