You couldn't have described the so called 'Left' with a better adjective.

They're a threat to the nation. They're anti-people, anti-reformist and pro-China! I hope the Communists are wiped out of power and the CPI is outlawed.

Let them withdraw support. CPM will not get a single MP from Kerala next time. The Left's tally of 60 will come down to around 25 and india will be saved

I wonder if the Left is even going to come into double digits in the next general elections.

The CPI's interest in the public is being amply rewarded by drubbings in CPI's own bastion, West Bengal.

If Americans were smart they would make an alternative enrgy deal with India
by Sameer on Jul 05, 2008 12:45 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Nulcear energy has no future, none whatsoever.

US has the technology and both can mass produce solar, wind and other alternative energy products and gain leadership in this area which will be hot for decades, it will be like partnership in software. The world can reduce energy dependence on fossil fuel especially oil but ..no they want to trap India into useless nuclear energy pact which neither helps India nor US.

But jo log ulte hain unko kaun samjhaye

Don't think stupid. Solar energy is not scalable. Wind energy is not reliable. The only reliable non-polluting technology is Nuclear technology.

By 2025, India will have enough technology for Thorium based Reactors. India will have Thorium reactors by then..........

And about Nuclear Waste, It can be properly disposed off. Besides, Nuclear Energy can be produced with a small quantity of uranium as compared to Oil and Coal Power. And what do you do with the smoke? That is dangerous too....you can't do anything with that.

Nuclear Power is the way to go for now.

The Nuclear Deal - my chime
by Chandan Kumar on Jul 05, 2008 12:42 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I really dont know what's the "deal" but being conversant with India's history of past 100 years, know one thing rather well...Indian communists have 'always' gotten it wrong! The stridency of their stand tells me the deal's good for India! Those anachronisms of idealogues couldnt suddenly be right about this one...they used to argue against India's Independence movement! They found fault with Mahatma Gandhi, then with the constitution, then with democracy itself, and 'development' is antithetical to their ideologies, they are hand in glove with terrorists and so called maoists, they were sure opening up the economy was a bad idea...they are just an unhappy lot...so if this deal seems to be getting 'them' into a convulsion, I bet its good for the country!

left must understand now that the world has changed, the marxism as an ideology has not delivered. It might have been ideal in theory, but practically has not delivered.
Marxist extremism as any other has caused a lot of damage to the world.

Left has failed all over the world.
It has destroyed many a youth of my generation. Now china and russia including all the former leftist countries have changed the systems and are progressing.
Even in West Bengal a change to modernity is showing results.
WB chief minister has also learnt his lessons well.
This deal is in our best national interests.

Which is better. A surrender to US which is geographically very far from India or surrender to China which if given a chance, will claim the entire India as theirs

Left Confused

Left are bunch of idiots,if they want to withdraw support just because of the Nuclear Deal then God save our country.Anything that is for the benefit of the Indians will be opposed by the Left who are the agents of China. They have ruined West Bengal and Kerala.90% of Malabaris are in the Gulf working for peanuuts as they cannot get a job in Kerala.Left ruled states does not have a single factory but still their government enjoys the benefit that has been passed on to them by succesful cities like Mumbai.Whole of bengal is off illegal bangladeshis. They are a bunch of jokers.

The above point is not denied, but why congress is looking so aggressively for nuclear deal which would not feed even even a small percentage and is a costlier option. Whereas India is not letting full support for other renewal energies, which requires the same capital but it is everlasting, safe and do not make India to bend infront of some tugs.
Why someone for His/Her ego is trying to push things so Hard?
There are many instance in which India has gone forward but taken a U-turn in domestic and foreign policy then why not for Nuclear deal for which every thing is kept under-cover. It is something like allowing 'East India Company' we are giving rights to 'IAEA'.
Request our Honorable PM to compromise on this issue as he has done before and let the deal fall through.

& my dear, who told u that renewal energies is everlasting? Do u know if its possible to use renewable energy fully to meet the entire energy requirement, the developed world would have used it long ago.

The country needs energy & nuclear energy can only support this. There`s no choice.

Even abdul kalam supported it. I have far more faith in MMS than our rotten Chineese commies.

Left withdrawing support
by thomas david on Jul 04, 2008 11:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Anybody desiring progress for the country should never team up with the left. They are antidevelopment and it has been proved time and again. They opposed tractors, computers and were responsible for the militant trade unionism which left many an investor bankrupt. Their place is in the wastebasket of history.
