Between UPA and Left, they left no space and margin for NDA, not even for BJP.
George Fernades, NDA convenor has become an rare species. Not to be seen or heard.
During Dr Kalam's tenure, NDA marched every Friday to submit a memorandum as they thought the President was only theirs.
After Dr Kalam's tenure, that also has stopped.
So no more 70mm picture of NDA leaders standing before the Rashtrapati Bhavan. [ Poor Sushma never got the space even in the male dominated NDA picture.]
After awe and shock, Advani's political harakiri in Pakistan, NDA and BJP in particular lost the relevance.
Waiting for that magical september to come when the Govt. would fall as predicted by Astrologers to Bajpayee.
Alas! Stars not in favour.
Havans would not work.
Advani tried all tricks of Bajpayee to create a new avtar. Asked BJP to get close to Muslims and Christians. Even went to Sonia with folded hands. But the magic did not work.
A chance came when the Left hardened their stance.
But poor Advani still not in the picture. All TRP's are taken by UPA, Left and now SP. Nobody gives an inch to Advani !
Where is our new pseudo-secular Advani?
Doing havan? Check the ghee you are using Mr Advani? Can't trust the traders; even if they are hardcore BJP supporters.
Which side are you facing Mr Advani during havan? Sit 11 degree North West of Parliament.
Finding it difficult to assess where the PM chair in the Parliament?

- ah! it's Congress and Left all over !
Not even a spliced comment from Mr Advani at this juncture !!!
Must be really worried. An alliance between congress and SP will wipe them out . I think Mulayam and Amar for once have shown that national interest is more important than the mythical muslim vote bank.
Welcome home - Amar , Akbar ( Mulayam ) and Anthony ( Big B ) - so says Sonia.
guys it is going to be interesting mess after next election..... If BJP get more seats......it will need BSP support which will be worse than this situation.... If congress gets more seats it will need left SP support.......left will not support congress govt.....so UNPA may come as the front runner........may be Mulayam could be next PM.....that is going to be even more mess....i think country is in for another political shakeup and instability....

no future for left. after russia and chins, they are dieing. in india kerala and WB are already suffering economic backwarness with communist ideology.
Two aspects stand out in the Singhvi gibberish blabber talk.
Soverign Govt - Cong has about 140 MPs in the Lok Sabha. They HEAD a ruling formation, thats it. They have the authority only on the basis of the merit of vote of the parties/MPs supporting them in Lok Sabha. When the supporters pull out they are not more soverign.
Secondly: If A Singhvi says nobody can dictate deadlines to a Soverign Govt - he assumes the clarity that the supporting parties/allies want on a deal of national interest in the long run.
How about the deadline set by the Bush administration to ink the deal by this tenure and the haste shown by MMS?
Is it not a deadline set by the Bush admin and the American Congress?
Shame on the party that has ruled the nation for 5 years.

pity people in mahatam gandhi's home country want to compete for nuclear arsenal. peaceful use of nuclear power is necessary for lighting up dark village huts. hitler lost war with guns. gandhi defeated england bare haned. no country is ever likely to use nuclear weapons.

I agree with what Ms Rekha Gopalan has said on the issue.Mr. Singhvi is angry that a group (Left) which kept them in power for more than 4 years, had shown the audacity to "set a deadline" of any sort as because their's is a sovereign Govt. But he does not have any grievance that their "MASTER", the American Govt has set a deadline to sign on the dotted space. He, then, forgets that their's is a sovereign government of a sovereign country.

I do not agree with you. China & Pakistan are the two bigeest threat of India in this part of the world & these two coutries are hand-in-glove against the future aspiration of India. In the post cold-war era, the best way to counter this threat is through a better alignment of polical tie through a strong Indo-US relationship as there are no fourth powerful country in this region who can be a strategic ally to minimist this risk...Hence, even if India needs to show a proactive approach towards making a strong Indo-US tie up; I do not think that it is wrong...We should be concerned about national interest only not not be governed by the ego whether US has set a deadline for India - Ain't it?

i m not an advocate of congress but i disagree on the haste mentioned as congress had to take lots of time because of lefts adament attitude .since the administration in us is going to change obviously deal has to be hurried through falling which entire exercise will have to be started fresh.my advise to political parties is to rise above petty politics and let their political narrow interest not come otherwise time is running out of people of thiscountry to teach these parties a lesson .

Don't get excited about these shameless creatures please. This is all drama forced upon Sonia and Commies by Manmohan who is determined to see through the nuclear deal. Whatever the commies say in public, it is them who gave time to Congress to see support from Mulayam. Commies do not want their ideology to be suffered. That is what they are interested about. If they are really interetsed in stopping the nuclear deal, they had many chances to pull the govt down before Mulayam came out with support.
Congress did well in outright rejection of the deadline set by the Communist to reply to their query over the Nuke deal before 7th July. The Communists are doing a grave mistake in pressurising the Govt unnecessarily. If they wish to withdraw support, they can do so, after so many postures in public over the issue and issue of deadline lacks sensibility. Rightly Moily called it unnecessary and childish. This has brought estranged partners together as SP has moved closer to the Congress. It has come to such understanding after hearing in detail from the National Security Advisor and public talking by the PM. Dr.Abdul Kalam too was referred by SP who cleared the misgivings about the safeguards and India's future nuclear programme. Dr.Abdul Kalam, the father of India's Nuclear Programme, has time and again came in support of the agreement as it would be beneficial to the country. But these Communists are not prepared to listen to the experts in the matter and continued to oppose it. They may seek no-confidence vote against the UPA Govt in the next Monsoon Session while BJP would not dare to challenge the issue for fear of losing public faith. Communists are planning to take out rallies and conduct meetings from 14th July onwards to explain to the general public their opposition to the deal. This is what is required instead of indulging in brinkmanship. Let UPA allies too resort to counter these arguments and inform public the benefit of the deal to the country's energy needs.

Your wisdom and knowledge must be appreciated by all right thinking persons.
I completely agree with "Babu". In late 1980's when I was a class sixth / seventh standard student (in one nice state which unfortunately wad rule by these communists), they virtually brain washed everybody including sixth standard kid that computer would detrimental for Indian. And see today, one of their chief minister (Buddhadeb) today is the loudest spokesperson for IT industry. Now, again they want to suffocate the national interest of the country by making uproar against N-Deal....Apparently, they also seems to be more motivated by the interest of China than their own country. Shame on these bunch of people who are all geared up to make sure that India does not move into the super league of developed nations!!! Every Indian must condemn their harmful attitude towards our country & make it evident through your mandate. Let me point out for the sake of these suckers indoctrined by the thoughts of medival age - communists of China does not even reckon your identity!!! Tomorrow if China (which seems to be the biggest threat of India) start clouding India's interest of sovereignity, not a single Indian would ever pardon you communists for being against the interest of the country...Let all of us pledge to all political parties in India to isolate the gang of so called communists & show solidarity for our national cause. JAI HIND

You are right. Commies do not want progress and only then they will be comfortable by raising slogans. Today even in China communism is gone and look at these jokers. If they with draw the support still the govt will survive and MMS can work peacefully till SP does not become Karat.
