After enjoying 4 yrs in power now left is planning for an anti-congress image for election preparation
by Ravan Raj on Jul 04, 2008 03:26 PM  Permalink

The issue is different.Left wants to withdrw support for congress govt. bacaz supporting congress and fighting with them as big enemies in kerala and WB will make double damage. So they want to come out from the alliance and at the same time not ready for an election now bcaz they may get peanuts. After playing a double game using SP to keep the central govt alive for the full time, Now you can see CPM will start disturbing kerala and WB public life for the coming days in the name of UPA govt.

SP backs Nuke Deal
by A Singh on Jul 04, 2008 03:23 PM  Permalink

Mulayam Singh has taken a grave risk of alienating Muslims in Uttar Pradesh. Behenji was quick to sieze on the opportunity, and get a statement from Ulema about the nuke-deal being anti-muslim.

It will never be known what price SP has charged or is going to charge for this risk. The only party that stands to gain is: Behenji's BSP.

Kalam is a scientist, not an expert on international agreements
by King c on Jul 04, 2008 03:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Merely by peddling Kalam's credentials, the UPA cannot get a certificate on the Nuclear deal. Kalam may be a brilliant nuclear scientist. But this issue is about the hidden clauses of the Nuclear Agreement, which is an International Treaty. How many International agreements would Kalam have gone through to be called an expert on this subject?

The fact remains that if we ever decide to conduct more nuclear tests, we have to give back all the benefits that we have got from this deal. Since this would be next to impossible, our hands will be tied if we ever want to further develop the Nuclear weapons program, while Pakistan and China will be free to carry out any number of tests!

Guys, open your eyes, NOW!

yet well educated and aware of international world...

ask SP leaders, where is Japan, Britain or even Israel located on map... I bet they will fail... so you can't expect them for anything intellectual to do with their own brain...

The same UPA and SP had rejected the proposal for re-election of Dr Kalam as President. Shame on these opportunists.

I think u r more intelligent scientist than Mr. Kalam and U have full knowledge of all aspects and facts of deal.

U r a brilliant person who has full knowledge of all international agreements.

I think govt. has given a copy of deal to u only and no one in India has the more knowledge than u about deal.

Thats really not the case. Hyde Act and 123 Agreement does not really envisage such bans as are being propagated by the leftists and double standards of BJP.
We would rather get some energy resources in this situation laden with energy scarcity. If we compare the post signage India and India of now, India would certainly be better off.

So far as SP stand is concerned, it is nothing but an opportunists stand that they have taken. They were longing to get along with Congress for so long. Apart from the above, they were also eyeing a say in the Union politics. There can not be any other reason for their changed stand especially in view of the fact that they (Mulayam Singh and Amar Singh) would not even understand what these Nuke Agreement really has in its kitty for this country.

Be that as it may--we the people--would be winner and really get benefits from this deal.
