Then why this Indian communists and BJP opposes this deal . I am sure they are not intelligent as Kalam to see any other reason. So the communists must toe the line of congress on Neuclear deal or follow the line Communist part of China who oppose the progress of India

It is Mulla Mulayam who proposed Kalam's Name for President And Campaigned that Kalam is a Great Person.
Kalam Himself testified in the First Dirubhai Ambani Memorial Lecture that he is Just a Systems Integrator Meaning a Manager or Mediator Sitting between Scientists.
He clearly said he was being credited for What he didn't.
LASTLY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY,
Kalam is a Missile Scientist who sabotaged even Aviation Research and thus our Airplane projects are all moving at a Snail's pace.
He has Nothing to Do with Nuclear Research, Energy and Weapons. Asking His Opinion and Taking it - On Nuclear Matters is infact a Foolishness.
The People to be asked are Unbiased Experts in the Fields of Nuclear Research, Foreign Affairs and most Importantly Defense Experts and Military Experts.

BJP will do this first thing to seal the deal when come to power. They are frustated that why they could not do it in their tenure. So they have been looking for opportunity to down the govt and take credit with them. Advani openly favors the deal but can support it because Congress will take credit. He just excuse that its not acceptable in current form that India looses the right to nuke test. Who can stop India to do nuke test as a sovereign country. BJP them selves conducted test w/o and took world criticism so why cant any govt do it again. Just because of a deal we can loose our security and right to conduct nuke test. Advani knows it. If he supports cong who will ask him opposition leader.

Just to add.. where I write Can, it was supposed to be can not.. Its a typo..
If 39 member-strong SP says they had not be given details of the deal earlier and that the PM and NSA has given them details now, then it means these details were concealed from the Lok Sabha. PM then becomes liable for breach of privilege for giving out details in private which he had concealed from Parliament!
Late is better than never. Finally, SP saw its folly in opposing the Nuke deal without understanding its implications. Thanks to Abdul Kalam, one of the articulate votaries of the deal, SP now understood the usefulness and beneficial side of the deal with US notwithstanding Communists opposition. Mulayam and Amar Singh met PM and Soniaji to assure SP support to the deal and they may try to convince the other constituents of the UNPA including communists. The only disturbing factor was the recent survey conducted in UP as reported in the News Channel today, suggest that 70% of the Muslim community oppose the deal with US, 34% feel SP being secular and 24% feel Congress is secular. This is the general mood of the sizable Muslim community in India. It may be due to ignorance or due to its animosity towards US. In any case, deal with US would harm no Muslim interest in the country. The top leadership have gone through all angles of implications of the deal and a person of PM's calibre could steadfastly favoured the deal,it should be taken seriously by the Muslim community. He is the first and last person to protect the interest of Muslims in India. He would not do anything that would undermine the interest of the community. When equations are changing everywhere and even Pakistan is preparing to open diplomatic relations with Israel, why one should oppose such a deal with US when it is going to benefit the country to a greater extent and Muslim as a whole should support such a move.
finally dr. manmohan singh taken support from the great scientist of India APJ ABULKALAM. But every one working for this deal with US is putting coming generation into hell, they will leve his world soon but future indians will face the consequences, this is the time to wake up for a common man without looking at the power hngry politician whether it is prime minister or congress president or ex president. sad to know the support from the power hungry politician mulayam singhand amar shing

Dear Mirza Saheb, Please share with us how this will put our future in hell. I am sure you do not have any knowledge about this deal and you are pre judiced with the anti US phenomina only. AM I WRITE MIZA SAHEB!!!!!
While major national parties like BJP, CPIM & CPI play politics over N-deal, a regional party has come up (atlast) with a good decision to support UPA. Getting insights from a senior statesman and former President of India-Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on this issue is sweet to listen. Kudos Mulayam and Amar... all the bests.
REDIFF is serving American interest in this country. So their headlines are always on Nuclear Deal, implication of which is not very clear to the common people. We, the common people are effected by rising INFLATION. Today only the inflation rate has been announced as 11.63%. But this news is not a headline with REDIFF. I urge the readers please try to see the ulterior motives of the people concerned in highlighting the Nuclear Deal. Even the Left, the favourite whipping boy of this column, should have concentrated more on Inflation than on the deal. They should have withdrawn support as a protest that the Govt failed to curb Inflation.

by Arun Kumar Sharma on Jul 04, 2008 04:55 PM Permalink
The infaltion is well connected with rising crude oil prices. the cost of personal tarnsport and goods trasports have increased. further, if we do not access to alternative source of power to reduce dependency on petrolium thru N powers, infaltion can not be curbed. The power generated thru N plants would add to manufacturing units, villages, aggriculture, cities, transports (trains), etc etc..also the cost of this power wud be less compared to thermal plants. Power avaialble to agriculture will increase the output of crops and thereby reducing cost of commodities in long run and inflation as well. manufacturing units could run for more ours on elctric supply and that will reduce petrloium consumption (diesel) and less import of oil wud b needed. there are number of things that power can do..Japan, US, France, UK, Korea are using N power safely and growing as well..for political secenario..US would be more closer to india and therby..balancing nexus of Pakistan and China around India...People of India must support this deal for sustainable power source..imagine a new India without power cuts, villages getting power for 24 hours...By N deal and power..India's petrolium import bill can be reduced by 20%..and that turns out to be Rs. 45000 crore!!!!..this money can be used to develop roads and health structure..

If we take Inflation is more related to World Phenomenon of Oil price being higher.Hence we need to look at Nulcear Energy for our power so as to take India to 2020.It is not merely US it is Russia, France too involved. Our friends like Karat are living 20 years backward, example is poor Industrial Condition of Kerala.Country has to progress than partician politics. Look at China being a Communist in idealogy but they are Capitalist in Mind. Our Lal Salam friends have to learn something from China.

People understand Inflation as global phenomenon, compared to other countries, India has managed inflation better. People do understand what is important to country and focussin on the same!!!
BJP is digging its own grave by not supporting the deal which is really good for the nation. By blindly opposing what ever congress does and readily willing to join hands with unscruplous parties like BSP,SP,DMK and ADMK they are doing great damage not only to them but also to the entire nation.Bad politics!

there are many states not ruled by BJP are doing much better than these states(eg Delhi, AP, TN,Mah,till recentl KAR). People living in states not ruled by BJP are safer and happier.they dont fear for their lives
Manmohan singh is a good person. He will not take action which hamper our countries progress.Left parties should think about growth of our country and does not blindly come to any conclusion. They should have known about goodness of DrManmohan singh. We should thank Dr Abdul kalam for revealing safety of nuclear deal by the congress govt.Hope present govt will last for full five years and mulayam singh party support present government
The deal was never discussed thread bare either in Parliament or by the media, who have all the time to discuss Arushi murder and other like issues. The electronic media should arrange a national debate-participants being the proponents, the opponents and some independent knowledgeable people including Dr kalam.Only then the people will know the truth behind the deal- national interest or betrayal!
