Why USA is pushing us to sign the deal?
by Ram Sharma on Jul 05, 2008 12:20 PM  Permalink

An interesting message by ravi prakash on Jul 05, 2008 12:11 PM Permalink regarding USA pushing us for signing the deal.

The representatives of the US are putting the classic "pull" on our Leaders. The Buyer is now chasing the seller-- much like the home buyer chasing the estate agent.
" Hurry up! or else all will lost. There is no certainty what the morrow brings; take it now or lose it for good. Remember, pay your token and reserve your place otherwise there are others and no saying what will happen to you"
Our leaders to have swallowed the bait, there is no escape and no alternative- they say.
All Hail Hon. MMS for his signal contribution!!

Drama enancted by Communies
by rajan sharma on Jul 05, 2008 12:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have been reading various people writing on this issue and just one thought which seems to be missed out is that this drama is creation of Communists, shocked or look strange, here is answer
Communists have already being vocal against the deal and so to save the govt cant retract so take help of their SP friends and don't forget that SP leaders have been in touch with these commies constantly.
Why this drama the link goes to municipality elections of WB where commies got drubbing after their defeat in panchayat elections and SP knows the no. they have in now can't be repeated in future elections.
Its nothing but a commies way of saving the govt. and in case govt have to face vote of confidence these commies will walk out to insure govt survives

This drama is also meant to divert people's attention to galloping inflation, suicide of farmers etc. Inflation went up further last week to 11.65, but it did not make any news bcz of this drama.

Unethical drama?
by Ram Sharma on Jul 05, 2008 11:56 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

SP was with the Left for last 3 yrs in opposing the deal. What happened suddenly during Amar Singh's visit to USA that they changed their position? Dr Kalam had long back backed the deal. So meeting him now and then dragging his name for supporting the deal is unethical and a big drama. Is it a joint drama between Congress, Left & SP, so that the govt does not fall, Left can go to its supporters saying that they r opposing the Congress, who is their main enemy in WB, Keral & Tripura? Only SP may b the loser in electoral terms. But they will now get the benefit of slowing down of various cases involving disproportionate income cases. Otherwise why Sonia and Mulayam can come together, as they had been biggest enemies of each other till the other day.

Did SP consulted Dr. APJ Kalam earlier? Opportunism
by pointofview on Jul 05, 2008 11:34 AM  Permalink

Did SP and Amar Singh consulted Dr. APJ Kalam earlier when they were opposing the N Deal. Now they have a chance to be a cabinet minister they supporting it and using the name of Dr. APJ Kalam. Mere Opportunitism. May be another reason in return Congress may releive Mulayam of dispropotiante asset cases.

n-deal
by kskumar on Jul 05, 2008 09:19 AM  Permalink

Seems the n-plants in our country are in danger of shutting down because of depleting Uranium stocks. If that is so, then the deal is a good bargain moreso if we were to keep our right of testing nuclear weapons in future.

The solution would be to develop alternate fuel for the n-plants. Where is the thorium technology ?
