not really useful. how many people know about N-deal? of those who know, how many actually understand it? even in democracy, sometimes the decisions have to be made by people who specialize in the field. we ll have to sit and pray that they make the right decision for india and not for petty benefits.

remember, opinions are like A**holes, everybody has got one, but nobody wants to know others'..

When the highly qualified PM and many of his expert ministerial colleagues and ofcourse the know-all kapil sibals of the congress not being able to honestly and transparently let the people know what is in the deal, I am sure that the hon'ble lady cannot contribute anything better. Even now, I do not find anybody stating as to why the deal should be with US alone and not with Russia or France. What is hidden in the agreement. Did the govt. commit to buy most if not all the equipment from US in lieu of its support to get us out of the nuclear apartheid. What if they take the money and stop supply or supply sub-standard equipment. This can happen with any country but an ignorant person like me knows that US has let us down in Tarapore and Pakistan in respect of the money paid by it to buy F16s. So what is correct will always be decided by US and wisdom requires that we should sign a deal from a point of weakness.

What she can understand ?
by guru on Jul 01, 2008 08:11 PM  Permalink

I have a serious doubt whether she can understand anything about the deal. what can you expect from a person who does not recognize the national flag in a forign country. It is our bad luck that we have such a prez. It would have been better if MMH met L.K.Advani and convince him about the imporatnce.

if mr.manmohan singh, being a good economist, is confident of N-deal and the progressive after effects of the deal, he should lead from the front and sign the deal. by doing so, let the LEFT parties be left to the destiny of THINKING indians as how to be treated in future elections if the outcome of the deal is positive and credible to the nation.
i don't understand why always fools rush in where angels fear to tread.
i hope the success of N-deal and control of inflation MUST be the top priority for the country now. FIX IT quickly mr.prime minister & team.
communal tensions and undue advantage of politics is an old story in the present hi-tech world which cannot be a TOOL to FOOL the public forever.

PM meets President amidst N-deal standoff
by ANAND TEERTHA on Jul 01, 2008 08:01 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

She will not understand anything about the N-deal. But she will understand deals between Mulayam /Amar Singh!! And ofcourse she may reveal about her utterly failed South American tour having delivered lectures to the empty hall seats( only seven members attended)!!!And she might have sobbed and sobbed about her master Sonia's insecure position in the indian politics.

Nation will benefit if the government keeps all the papers open for the public about the N-deal and its pros and cons!! There is no point in begging for support from this or that political party after enjpying power for 51 months with Communists support!!

The whole issue will get solved in the way PM wants it because, all said and done, the communists know that the PM is an honest person.
