Cho Ramaswami was once asked, " Do you think left has any future in India?" His reply was, " If left has any future in India then India has no future left."

Don't quote the words of jokers. this is a serious matter and the left leaders had a long experience of working in the society. it is a matter if hidden agendas and PMs hurry to please US looks suspicious. Cho Ramaswamy's jokes are not relevant here.

Left Threat
by Srinivasan S on Jul 01, 2008 04:04 PM  Permalink

If Left is cocksure of safeguarding india Interest, they should try to prevent the Govt from going ahead instead of threatening for the whole of last year¤t year.If congress is sure of what they are doing, they should have gone ahead instead of cajoling the left. Both are wasting tax payer's money

What soveriegnity you nitwit ...once you have the uranium, others are scared of you. In your blind anti-americanism, you have become an anti-national who must be thrown out of the country. India needs nuclear energy - by hook or by crook. Their ain't any oil left in future - and its better to suck up to uncle Sam than those uncivilized but now rich Arabs.

I see very little support for left in any forum (Leave a few like Sahdevan KK) and still they win 60 odd seats. That leaves me with surprise.

What ever the Left is doing to scuttle the Nuclear Deal, they hardly can be blamed for the current crisis - inflation. This is a global phenomena. We cannot be advocates of globalization and then wish at the same time to be decouple of its adverse impact. Global inflation is the negative of globalization. So it is not only Indian stock markets that crashed today but all over the world as fund managers just dump stocks. The money from equity is used to speculate in commodity markets which remained globally unregulated. By putting 6% margin, speculators take positions on commodities. An estimated USD 4 trillion is forwarded traded - half of which is in oil. There is nothing any Indian government can do. The BJP only fools the people that they have a magic wand

That's the problem
by Shiv Kumar on Jul 01, 2008 04:00 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sir, The Left might be unhappy because the PM is going always going to foreign countries leaving Prakash Karat alone in India. So if the PM takes Karat with him then the Left will not withdraw. What do you say.

it is really sad to see this demise of Indian Government. Though I am with support for N-Deal, I feel pity for CONGRESS. As for LEFT nothing is LEFT. They are the bigger loser. BJP will come soon and make INDIA SHINE again. For the moment , I am with Dr. Manmohan Singh for INDIA.

Not even the BJP wants election. The UPA is far from dead. In fact, it is emerging stronger in terms of coalition membership with JD(S), SP, TMC and Ajit Singh joining in.
