Corrupt Ambassador
by Dipak Bose on Jul 02, 2008 09:41 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Ronen Sen is a disgrace for the Bengalis. He is acting as the Ambassador for George Bush, not of India. When he was the Ambassador in Moscow there were rampant corruptions. One could not get visa without bribes, but he gave a blind eyes. Now possibly he is looking for a job in USA after his retirement. That is the reason he is praising the group of blood suckers: Indian Doctors.

You don't have any reason to criticize him just because he is a great supporter of the deal.

Gift Ronen Sen a Thesausus
by PKN on Jul 01, 2008 01:03 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Indian Ambassador Ronen Sen is a good man with bad vocabulary. That probably has been his undoing . The first time he got hauled up was for calling Indian parliamentrians ( or at least those opposed to the N-deal as 'Headless Chicken" . He ended up wiser to the fact that 'headless chicken' dont liked to called 'headless chicek'.
The phantom has struck again by using the potent cliche ' N-deal will be consummated'
There are many in India that suspect that the whole N-deal was an attempt to marry India and US interests' and by using a word that has so closely alligned with marriage the Ambassador has chosen only to heighten the confusion on the matter .
Hope somebody will gift him a Thesausus!

Well you must be Irish Mr PKN.

In the common sense, Ronen Sen was suggesting 'accomplished' when he talked about consumating the Nuclear deal. In English, if you understand, there are certain connotations and lateral meanings to English.

Good observation. But to give due credit to Mr. Sen, I think this is more of an Editor's gimmick... nowhere has Mr. Sen been quoted as using the peculiar word..

Perhaps a bigger faux-pas on his part is the chest beating announcement that India is most favorable to US (re: "I've been envoy to Russia, UK, Germany..").
So is he saying that we actually despise those countries? Hasn't he made life difficult for the current envoys to those countries?.. .:-)

This is diplomacy at its best.... Congress style.. ;-)

NO, MMS CANNOT IMPOSE HIS OWN IDEOLOGIES ON INDIANS AT LARGE!!!
by wani bhardwaj on Jul 01, 2008 01:01 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

MMS is creating problems for India's onward growth and is trying to disintegrate India into pieces. First action he did in Narasimha Rao Govt. by introdcing socalled liberalisation (due to which India gets attracted for foreign rotten money into its foreign exchange in large scale) thereby causing tremendous injury to Indian Industries as well as loss of employements. Labor laws are only in paper and organized and unorganized labour conditions are deterioriating and multi national companies and foreign companies are looting the wealth of our country. Second, but most DANGEORUS thing he is trying to impose is NUCLEAR DEAL by GIVING OUR SOVERIGINITY AND INTEGIRTY TO THE US FORCES. People who are supporting this deal is living in fool's paradise that by signing the NUCLEAR DEAL, Indians will get 24 hours elecricity at an affordable rates and India will be independent on producing electiricity. The rates will be exorbitant and it can also not give complete electricity to the people of India.

The 'liberalization' you are mocking helped the country from going bankrupt . there was no monew in the gov coffers to pay salries for more than 2 months .
The 8-9% grouth we are witnessing is the result of the policy shift.
think before talking !

What type of bankruptcy you are talking about? Still millions of dollars are pending to IMF and ADB by the various State and Central Govt. What you are talking about wealth is here in India and Indian Politicians have to take the courage to take the undisclosed incomes of the politicians, intellectuals, industrialists and elite classes. Here, we have enough money in India itself. You don't need to go anywhere for begging for the developement of India.

Real Issue and Bribes
by Dipak Bose on Jul 01, 2008 12:49 PM  Permalink

Nuclear power provides only 2 percent electricity. It does not matter for the electricity production if these will be shut.
Nuclear plants are really for the production of nuclear weapons, electricity is just a by-product.
USA wants to roll back India's nuclear weapons programme. This is the real issue.
However, millions of Dollars I suppose are now being distributed to confuse the public. The issue is not about Chinese or Muslims or even electricity. It is about nuclear weapons.

Congress is a Disgrace
by san man on Jul 01, 2008 11:51 AM  Permalink

The Congress Party never fails to disgrace itself and prove how much they like to speak from both sides of the mouth. Janus-faced is an understatement. Part of the time saying they won't pursue the N-Deal at the expense of breaking their coalition, and part of the time saying they will get the deal completed at all costs. They have no compunction about lying to anyone and everyone, telling each audience what they want to hear. No ethics in the slightest. Indians deserve to get no ethics in return, since they continually vote for unethical parties.
