Lemme take the opportunity to conclude all the views received on rainy morning in mumbai. First of all thnx to all of you for writing ur views. There are suggestions by many of them to send rain to other parts of India where its not being raining since long time. Its not like coconuts which grows in Maharashtra and can be transported to Rajasthan. Regarding the complaint to BMC or Mumbai citizens abt water logging, I wud like to take balance stand, saying that both are equally responsible for the situation. Few people views were awesome especially the one by raghu kumar and the responses he got on his view. thts it. i want to end here. Happy monsoon mumbai.

Well, JOB KK ... You just about wrecked my Rainy-Day Holiday. All day I spent wondering what info you need ... Like what to do (1) to the Elephant or (2) with the elephant or (3) on the Elephant or(4)in the Elephant etc. Finally, I sobbed myself to sleep when a new thought struck my mind; What the Hell is that JOB KK doing with a elephant? Is it (1) his own or(2)borrowed from Sadhu dost or (3) trapped at Bandipur - with/without trapper's licence. You see KK, when petty National problems like Fuel price increase, Nuke deal, inflation overwhelms me, I switch my mind to heavy stuff, like your problems with your ELEPHANT!
I WAS TRAVELING BY DECCAN QUEEN TODAY ON 1ST.JULY.THE TRAIN WAS RUNNING RIGHT TIME BUT WHEN WE REACHED KARJAT STATION PEOPLE STARTED SAYING THAT THE TRAIN WAS CANCELED.THE TRAIN WAS REALLY CANCELED B'CAUSE OF THE RAINS IN MUMBAI.THE TRACKS WERE FILLED WITH WATER AND THE SIGNALS WERE NOT WORKING IN MULUND,BHANDUP ,VIKROLI.THE RAILWAY AUTHORITIES WERE ANNOUNCING BUT THE ANNOUNCER'S VOICE WAS TOO POOR AND WAS NOT CLEAR.AFTER ABOUT ONE HOUR AT KARJAT STATION THE DECCAN QUEEN TOOK ALL THE PASSENGERS BACK TO PUNE.THANKS TO RAIL AUTHORITY. -KAUSTUBH C
Every year Civics & State administration fail and blame the "heavy" rains and increase the budget;this helps them to swindle the state treasury while the tax paying honest citizen suffers perenially.
Also media, their partners in progress has a story to break in the name of heavy rains.
After this heavy down pour life of mumbai again shaken up with a fear of 26th July incident. Really speaking though we were told the our Govt Civic bodies are prepared to cope up with Heavy such down pour. The results are open to every bodies eyes. Let our Govt speak somethings......
