Farmer to an Educationist
by Arrow on Jan 27, 2008 10:57 PM  Permalink

You are a great dad amitabh. You know what your son is capable of, so you are sure that he aint gonna be a big hit in films. Post retirement, he can make good business in that college. Money money money.. too bad you had to part with that land (lose your FARMER status) and take up educationist avatar

You havenot seen the idea behind it!

It is the first step of domesticating Aishwarya in the Bachhan family.

Amitabh is very conservative man.

Notice that in all his Balaji and other darshans Aishwaryas parents are excluded.

This is a slow way of nudging Aishwarya to stop acting in films and take up as a diversionary tactic these activities

very true, Mulayam Singh is now a former CM of UP and not a present day CM as reported in the article, wonder how such reports get printed/uploaded without even a basic spell check or is it nobody gives a damn to proof reading now or they don't have microsoft word on their PC!

Moreover, how did bheinji urf Mayawati allowed her bete noire to even lay a foundation stone for social cause, strange are the ways of these oily policians

Intentions behind opening the new college
by mallaiah anchoori on Jan 27, 2008 08:58 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Actors started acting in real life also,of late. They play all gimmics to retain their public image and Amitab has now assumed another form of a socialist by establishing a college in the name of his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai.It is a welcome step as for as opening a college is concerned, but it should not be converted into trade in the name of educational.People will certainly be happy if he really opened it with a view to serving the poor with education. But it is a million dollar question as to how far he makes it a merit based institution with no capitation fee and other forms of squeezing money. After all Big "B" was once the highest paid actor in cine field. Will he do any thing without any commercial motive?"Kaun Banega Karodpathi?"with the education to be imparted by his new college?-whether an already affluent student who could afford his fee structure etc or a meritorious student who is required to struggle to seek admission in his high fly college? The very presence of so many political luminaries on the occasion raises all the reasonable doubts as to his intentions behind opening the college. If the intention is to serve the poor students,it would really be a feather in his cap of name and fame.It remains to be seen as to how far he remains a hero in life too.

i think this is factless and too many assumptions. the fact is that there is a new college and many more people will get access to education. why do you need to see a glass half empty rather than seeing the glass half full?

Desaiji!
I had an occasion to see your reply just now.Amitab is known for his commercial out look and is yet to be known for his philanthropic activities. Hence the presumption please.
