You will be amazed to know that most of the cadest in our force ..bet it Army, AF or Navy ... they are mainly from small cities and towns of Bihar, Kochi, Uttaranchal, Haryana, North East and Punjab. But hardly you will get there boys from our so called developed states and big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai!
Our youths of today prefer to discuss SRK instead of thinking of joining force and work for the nation. They study for money and not for the job ... they are more corrupted youths than pasttime. They look cool but they are really cold stuff and a fake generation, inspired by fake things and fake idols. One day will come when there country will be atatcked by outsiders and they will be cosntitutiing the biggest population of helpless tableroom discussing people or showing concern in their office room and piping later in some mall and sametime the country will be ruined and looted... They prefer to pay 50 rupees for Bisleri in the biggest multiplexes of their cities where most of the affluent and powerful people visit but none of them raise voice against this kind of loot being done at such places, asking for money mroe than its MRP ...they are ready to throw money and munch popcorn of Rs 5/- for rs 50/- ....you expect such people to think for nation?????

Most people who join army are poor, less-educated and jobless. Army is the last resort for Indian people. They don't join army for patriotism. They just grab at the chance to make a living. Thats natural human tendency.

Kabhi try kiya hai NDA? fat ke haath me aa jayegi ... pehle hi physical and medical me disqualify ho jayega tondu ...aur aptitude, GD and interview ki to pooch bhi mat..force me chaprasi ke post ke liye bhi qualify nahi kar paeyga... tere jaese educated log asal pe poor educated hain jo dhol peet peet kar khud ko educated kehte hain but jis topic pe bahas ladate hain uska koi knowledge nahi..tere ko recruitment process ka pata nahi hai kuch aur yahan gyan banj raha hai be?

Mr Vikas seems to be the case of sour grapes. The Army unfortunately may seem to be last resort of Indian people and we ourselves are to blame for that. Nothing can be sadder than a nation with its defence so utterly neglected.

great thoughts yaar.. i was in bangalore and hyderabad for just under 2 years time and what i could see was something exactly similar to what you just said.. i was always enthusiastic about the scientific acheivments our country and use to talk a lot when ISRO successfully launches a satellite or when a missile is testfired. i couldn't find similar interest in anybody in my office or people around me.. they are just happy talking about celebreties, watching crap hindi movies, flirting etc.. i belong to kochi and i could easily find that patriotism is much more in my place than in those so called metro like cities...

There are many Indians who still want to join Defence services but due to lack of awareness they miss out. I remember during Kargil war people standing in long queue outside Command office in Kolkata for a chance to die for our motherland. I think similiar situation in all other cities as well. If all these people are recruited and send to LOC Pakistsn will not dare think of coming close to LOC. Also at the age of 18-20 decisions are mostly taken by parents who want there children to excel in corporate world. Even who want to join Defence cannot do so because of parents pressure. Defence could think of recruiting people even after attaining 30 or 35years. These people are much more mature and are not under pressure by any quarters.
