May the soul of Colonel Venugopal which joined all other heroic souls like of Harshan etc..rest in peace.It is very painful for any wife to withstand the grief caused by the death of her beloved husband and more so when the wife is in her prime youth.But,the Indian mothers being role models for the rest of the world, would normally be developing the courage to take things stoically and in the right stride,mould their children who are the sweet memories their departed darlings ,in accordance with the foot prints left by the latter.May Almighty bless Smt Subhashini Vasanth with all the courage to withstand all the odds of life she is likely to face in her husband's absence.Though Venugopal is not physically present in this mundane world,his soul continues to give all the inspiration needed for the well bringing up of her children.The Asoka Chakra that she is going to receive posthmously for the valour of her husband would cetainly boost up her morale and would also go a long way in in reaffirming her determination and dedication to mould her offspring as the fittest citizens of India.
Colonel Venugopal will be a source of great inspiration for all of us. Supreme sacrifices like His should not go unbuilt upon. I pray that peace descends on Kashmir in the very near future. I pray for the day when militancy is finished as a concept itself - that nobody falls prey to such a ghastly disease anymore, and that no armyman will ever have to make anyone of us cry anymore.
