Apathy to Martyred Soldiers Family
by tapan dattoo on May 30, 2014 11:49 AM  Permalink

Let us all think of the nation as one and understand the sacrifices of the slain soldiers cannot be dealt as routine. These are war heroes and no less than our higher mortals-film stars, cricketers etc. The new central Govt.will surely ensure that the families of the slain soldiers are given prompt settlement of the announced awards and entitlements. The erring Govt Officials be dealt with firmly by making them accountable. This has to be a punishable crime. A retired Soldier.

Shubhkamanayen to rediff for bringing this to us !!

Words are limited to describe such sacrifices being made by our real life heroes !!!

Let that Fire from these bravehearts may guide us to fulfill the unfinished task of removing this terrorism from our Motherland and the world...

Best wishes for the family to bear this loss gracefully !!

Who do we blame????
by Shiladitya Roy on Feb 16, 2008 12:17 AM  Permalink

It is amazing how, in India, cricketers, film stars and politicians are always in the limelight...... little attention is paid to the bravehearts like Col. Vasant. Who do we blame..... the media for not giving them enough spotlight or us, the civilians, to whose taste the media caters?????
One can only hope for the very best for his family and peace for his soul........ JAI HIND.
